Ok, Im lost. You have one thats crapping out but rather then send it to sony, youre going to buy another one. Ok, not the smartest thing in the world but it at least makes sense. But....if you dont feel like sending in YOURS to sony, why on earth would you take one with DREs? Broken for a broken? Seems odd.

DREs can be fixed for free by sony, if his is just crapping out it will cost quite a bit to fix.

I know how to fix DREs, ive done it many times before for myself and friends, but i think age is killing mine, so im gonna get another one and fix it, and if I cant, ill send that one in. Also i love my launch PS2
