I have two boys who would have loved a Ben 10 game, regardless of how crappy it is. Unfortunately it had already been delisted by the time I checked yesterday evening.

The two titles are a good mixture. I still have my copy of Rainbow Six so I probably wont download it but haven't played that Magic title so I will add it to the collection.

For those PS+ people complaining about how old Rainbow Six is... here is September's PS+ titles you can rent for free.

- Resident Evil Chronicles HD - Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (i.e. one of the two titles in this collection) released back in 2007

- Ico - released in 2001

- GTA Liberty Stories (Vita) - released in 2005

- Galaga Legions - released in 2008

- Rayman Origins (Vita) - the only recent game there on a system that tons of people do not own.

What do you notice... they are all very dated as well.

Wow entitlement is so high on this forum anymore.
That's not 100% fair. PS+ is unusually loaded with remasters this month, but RE Chronicles HD was released in 2012. Ico HD rerelease was 2011, and it's the DX version of Galaga Legions which was released in 2011.

Do you think the intent was to be fair? ;)

I personally believe MS could have offered better games thus far with the promotion, but I still view it as better than nothing. MS has never done anything like this and I am glad to see them try to add more value to Gold.

I went in thinking it sucked cause everyone said so. I played for 2 hours and 1st 15-20 mins i hated cause of the hate opinions. Its 2.5 out of 5 it hd semi fun in it. Happy i kept going.

The point, which I'm sure you didn't miss but I'll highlight anyway, is that these are old-ass games at the core - the re-releases of RE and Ico add little or no extra features beyond being more tolerable to play on a modern setup.

Yup. But my point, which I'm sure you didn't miss but I'll highlight anyway, is that September was unusually overloaded with remade/remastered games. August, for example, was three 2013 game, one 2012 game, and one (shudder) 2005 game. Only one of those 5 games was a port/remake of any kind.

Shouldn't title of the thread say last day for Dead Rising 2 and DR2 Case Zero in caps??  RB6 Vegas is pretty lame (as in I've owned this game for 5 years and never play it) but I'm excited for Magic 2013.  Got the original way back yonder and it was a pretty fun game.  Never really bothered with yearly released games but there were tons of ways to improve the original so it will be cool to see how different (or the same) it is.

I just started downloading Magic 2013 for free. It's nice to see we don't need a credit card on file to get the Games For Gold games. I guess that was just something they had to correct from the beta, or maybe it's an issue if you go through the marketplace website. I started the download through my 360.

You do in fact need a card on file to get these games on the website.

Public service announcement::::::

Magic 2013 fo free is LIVE!!!!!
I just downloaded Magic 2013 and the free dlcs... but for some reason, that green check sign that shows that I've purchased/downloaded doesn't show for any of them.. is this happening to anyone else?

After I've fully downloaded the game, I've clicked the "download" button again and it leads to the purchase screen.

has been a issue since they converted msp.

Can anyone tell me why I can't seem to buy anything off of the xbox website? When i go to get the free magic game it says I don't have a valid payment option, I can't seem to purchase anything from the site since the MSP conversion happened.

I'm having the same problem... And it won't let me enter any of my credit cards to buy the free game... Guess ill call the support line

Got Magic 2013, now I have even less reason to visit my cousin since we can play card games over the interwebs.

So the multiplayer is not included in the game or does that multiplayer DLC add some extra stuff in multiplayer? And the other free DLC's do they acutally add something or do they just let you see the DLCs that somebody bought?

Sucks still can't see the cash I have on the site and the points that the Xbox says I have still appear as points, which I can't use. So glad that there are no deals I want this week. I hope they sort this out before something good goes on sale. And damn Major once again not posting the weekly deals.

Just snagged Magic 2013 off xbox.com - no problems there. I'm actually happy about this game going free. It's a game I'd have never likely bought and belongs to a genre of card battle games that I've never played. Rainbow Six Vegas going free is a joke. I'd rather they gave away something that is worth at least $5. Even the DLC for Magic 2013. But RSV can easily be bought for $2 these days. Anyways - enough has been said on this. But hopefully MS is hearing our collective "meh" and will come back in force in October.

Mine still shows Microsoft points. 200 points.

The multiplayer is included. The multiplayer only DLC is so you can play against people that have the DLC.

If you haven't yet, you'll need to update your console and then try to buy something in the store on your console (you can cancel before you actually buy anything). Once you do that you should get a popup saying your points have been converted to $xx.xx in credit. For the time being at least, you can't use that credit on the website, just on purchases via the console.

2 more crappy games, last year's MTG and a launch title, thanks Microsoft. It would be nice if they would at least give us a game from this decade.

everyone's free to have their own opinion obviously, but just thought I'd point out that A) neither of these can really be considered crappy when they hold a 77 and 88 on metacritic, and B) they were both released well within this decade

They were good. Things age. Rainbow is very very dated now.

So because it's dated, which will happen to every single videogame that will ever be released, it's unplayable?

Look I don't care about RSV1 since the vastly superior sequel exists, but this shit is ridiculous. I'm starting to wonder if people on this site actually play the games they buy.

First of all, I didn't say in the past decade I said THIS decade, how about you learn reading comprehension before you try to make someone look like they don't know what they're talking about. Secondly, a 77 isn't a good score and a 88 from 7 years ago doesn't = a 88 today, look at the quality of FPS games that have been released since.

decade=ten years. Even if you were to consider it only 2011>now Magic was released last year so your comment is still off. Also, how is 77 a bad score? On almost every review site a 7/10 (or it's equivalent) is a GOOD game. Yes it may not be GOTY, but calling it crap is a bit of a stretch. I'm not trying to argue, but you seem to be complaining just for the sake of it. If you don't like the games on offer then you don't have to download/play them. Considering they haven't given us anything for the past 10+ years, I don't see why anyone is complaining about getting something now. Would you rather they never start the GwG promotion in the first place?

Absolutely. You don't have to play the games they offer. But realizing that GwG is directly competing against PS+, it's a little insulting.

I could understand if M$ was pushing their brand a bit at the end of this generation with a few more of their iconic exclusives, but offering things they never cared about is like giving you table scraps and sending you to bed.
