Is there any chance that these sellers may be selling the same code to more than one person? I'm weary of buying it because one of the sellers has a screenshot of the redeem site from GEForce, and it says this: "Note: Do not share your key(s). Otherwise you may not be able to play."

Is it a general message or can those codes really be shared?

Although the preview launches tomorrow, really hoping Everspace pops up on the store tonight. Anxious to get my hands on it. Looks fantastic and may help offset some of my disappointment from the Death Star DLC this week.

Yeah, It's annoying. They should limit it to one update per month, unless someone discovers a major bug (like game saves randomly getting deleted or something).

I highly doubt it, especially since its already on my Xbox now, but I will compare my code with another cagbro who got one to see

Edit. Just checked with Blink and we got separate codes. Can't think of any other concerns, but be aware, you don't input a code on the nvidia site and it spits out a Xbox code. You enter your Xbox info and it gets linked to your MS account

I have two :xb1: consoles, both in the Preview Program, and one of them hasn't received any updates recently (not even the one with Clubs).  Multiple restarts and power downs/unplugs have been fruitless.  What's up with that?

Did they?! Poor choice of words, in my view, seeing as:

- Every PS4 game will be 'compatible' with the Pro model, even if only a few of them will be enhanced.

- The official mantra of "an iteration, not a new generation" is undermined. Backward-compatibility has, historically, been used in the context of games from one generation of hardware being able to be played on the next.

Games, even 'old' games, were never backward-compatible, though. Consoles were. The need to differentiate (i.e., this game is, that other one isn't) is a recent one. I could be wrong, but aren't Microsoft consoles the only ones where backward-compatibility is handled on a case-by-case basis? Barring the odd exception, the Wii ran every Gamecube game, the PS2 (and the PS3) ran every PS1 game, etc.
 
Just got one of those Nvidia Gears codes and added to my account. Gears 4 showing in my Ready to Install list. For $34, well worth it.

I don't understand why I think you're going to read an answer on here when you didn't read the terms of the preview...

Preview updates are twice a week during opt-in phases. You opted in, you get updates twice a week. Don't like that frequency? Don't opt-in to the heavy testing phases! Same thing if you don't like having to hard restart your console once or twice a week because of bugs. You can still be in the preview and get updates ahead of the masses, you just won't be on the cutting edge w/ all them shiny features (that don't work).

And if it still bothers you, why don't you OPT OUT?

The "Buy It Now" option had been $40, but I selected "Make Offer" and put in $34.00. And he accepted.

Now he bumped his "Buy it Now" option up to $49.00. ....Wonder if he is no longer accepting offers of $34...? Wouldn't hurt to try, I guess.

That's probably true.

There's a sweet-spot to hit. We're probably too soon for the best price, as the codes are just going out. But wait too close to release and demand goes up, which is also bad. So somewhere like 7-10 days 'til release is probably ideal if you want it Day-1. ....Or just wait a few weeks after its out and get a code for $13.

 
Did anyone else who is in the preview not update to have clubs? I checked all the settings and it says I am opted in but still no update.

Definitely. But by how much is what I'm curious on. And while boosting online achievements is a thing, would be interesting to see if any multiplayer achievements have a higher percentage unlocked outside of TA. My thinking is, more people play online in a few games rather than have a large collection of games, so may be possible.

I'm not well versed in the Sony side of things, but I always had the sense that the number of achievement hunters outnumber trophy hunters. Maybe I'm wrong, but I personally see trophies as your number of achievements and not necessarily a score. For example, I'll tell someone I have 360,000 gamerscore before saying I have almost 16,000 achievements unlocked.

Edit: Thinking about it, does Sony's numbers include the entire population or only people who have started the game? That could potentially explain why there's such a huge gap.

Seems like a decent first step. Whole number percentages will not be useful for the rarer achievements. Plus, it needs to stand out a bit more. Maybe it should be listed under the achievement point number.

 
Exploring the new achievement update, and I'm thinking it counts everybody that owns the game, even if they haven't started it. A game such as "No Time To Explain" which has an achievement equivalent of pressing start only has been unlocked by 85% of people.

 
Are all Gears 4 codes cross-buy?  Some of the eBay listings don't specify that it works for both PC and Xbox, and I really just care about Xbox.

The seller will give you a code to redeem on the nvidia site, everything is done on your account and with your info so it's not connected to the seller at all

You actually redeem it through Nvidia. From the Nvidia website, you login to your Microsoft account and it syncs them up.

Yes, I got the code. And yes, I successfully redeemed it through Nvidia and Microsoft. I now officially have the game.

Edit: Thinking about it, does Sony's numbers include the entire population or only people who have started the game? That could potentially explain why there's such a huge gap.

Exactly, PSN, and presumably XBL, will look at all users most likely where the sites probably only look at people whose profiles they have access to. So less people evaluated who are more likely to care about getting trophies mean that sites that work that way will have higher percentages than just looking at all users or all users who have the game. Would presume XBL would be looking at a broader swath of players when evaluating so likely will have lower percentages.

Yes, I got the code. And yes, I successfully redeemed it through Nvidia and Microsoft. I now officially have the game.

Ok so with everybody talking about buying these gears4 digital codes from ebay.I saw a seller who is selling one and in the description it says "code is redeemed through GeForce.com" is that the same as Nvidia or two totally different sites?Apologies if that sounds very dumb but just want to make sure before i pull the trigger.

Thanks for posting the ebay link.  I was going to preorder through best buy and gett the rewards cert, but this comes out cheaper at $35.

Everyone's getting in on this Gears deal. If the clubs feature actually works like it should we may be able to get some CAG on CAG violence going.

Also I think it's time we all recognize the difficult truth that Bill Belichick needs to be president. If he can do this with his 2ND and 3rd string quarterbacks he can definitely fix this shithole of a country. He probably wouldnt need all 4 years either. Like midway through the 2ND year everything would be fixed, and he'd just be doing nothing except giving reporters asshole answers, which we would all love. I know the rest of the country hates him, but once he's your leader you'll learn to love him

Preview updates are twice a week during opt-in phases. You opted in, you get updates twice a week. Don't like that frequency? Don't opt-in to the heavy testing phases! Same thing if you don't like having to hard restart your console once or twice a week because of bugs. You can still be in the preview and get updates ahead of the masses, you just won't be on the cutting edge w/ all them shiny features (that don't work).

And if it still bothers you, why don't you OPT OUT?

For a game so set around quick movement, those executions just don't make any sense. Your guy literally stands there for 2-3 seconds snapping the other player's neck or shooting them, making you a sitting duck.
