I was wondering what are the best full games that are available on the XBLA. I am thinking of purchasing castlevania and thats a full game what other full games are there that are good? (ex. sonic, castlevania, games with story line) (NOT ex. bankshot billiards, hearts, spades)

Assualt Heroes is fantastic, Castlevania, Rez, Lumines, Hexic HD, Hexic 2, Every Extend Extra, Gripshift, Metal Slug 3, Puzzle Fighter, Worms, Switchball, and the all mighty Geometry Wars.

I Think theres already a thread for this though.

second prince of persia. that's my favorite on xbla. I like N+ a lot, too.. but, i don't think that is what you mean when you are referring to "full games."

Puzzle Quest was totally worth the money. Download the demo and try it out. The story is very 'meh' but the gameplay is great IMO.
I have 1280 points and I want to get a game. Should I get Puzzle Quest or N+?
Puzzle Quest. Download it and we'll see you 4 weeks from now when your eyes are bleeding because you haven't stopped playing since.

Yeah, I was leaning towards Puzzle Quest. But If I get PQ I wont have points when Still Alive comes out for Rock Band.

Of all my games, I've played Puzzle Quest the most. It's worth the points, and will last you a long time.
Its the original right? or is it like Castlevania Dracula X i cant remember
It's Castlevania - Symphony of the Night. It came out in 1997 for the Playstation. It has RPG elements along with the whole "running around killing monsters" mechanic. It's pretty much one of the best games ever although it's relatively low difficulty keeps it from being my personal favorite Castlevania.

Try Puzzle Quest if you haven't yet. Addicting as hell. And yeah it has a quest/story mode if you're into the linear JRPG style of game.

Assault Heroes is worth 800, or the now 400 points. Excellent shooter.

Castlevania is worth it too, I just already have it on PS1.

If you appreciate oldschool arcade brawlers, Streets of Rage 2, and Golden Axe are AWESOME.

Castlevania is a must have. I still get tempted to buy the XBLA version even though I have the PS version. Puzzle Quest is awesome too.

Just because I haven't seen anybody else mention it yet, I'll suggest Pac-Man Championship Edition. No storyline obviously, so not a "full game" in the sense that the OP was asking, but it's definitely one of my favorite XBLA games, and among the ones I've spent the most time playing.

Geometry Wars and Catan are my favs. I've been considering Pacman CE, but haven't gotten it yet. Waiting until I get through some of my backlog before getting it.

Oh and Rez is completely awesome.

That would be a) sick, and b) rejuvenate the lack of ANYONE playing online -- at least I got all of the achievements online over a year ago, all I gotta do still is beat Thy Flesh Consumed on Ultra Violence, I can't pass the 2nd level. It was worth the 800 points when it came out, and it's a no brainer at 400.

I'm gonna pile on here, Castlevania is really awesome. Its as challenging as you want it to be, want to have a challenge use a crappy weapon. Want to tear through it, use the best weapon you got.

Also I bought Doom for 400 points yesterday and while the online is laggy i'm really enjoying the single player.

Yea I know what you mean but no one online. When I go online there isn't anyone playing ever. And I'm from Australia so the chances of finding someone playing in the same time zone is LOW.

So if you can't find someone and I can't find someone.

Doom is dead basically.

M$ need to put it up for 200Points or Release Doom 2 for 400.

Then we would have some more people!

Puzzle Quest. I never liked Bejeweled all that much and when I saw the price of PQ I thought no way would I buy it. Then I played the demo. Bought it as soon as I finished with that. I probably put the most hours away on that.

Hexic HD. Im a Hexic addict, always have been always will. Hexic 2 not quite as good, they uglied it up and just not as appealing.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (Think thats its name). Great game. Memories of playing through FFVII for the first time and taking short breaks to play a couple rounds of SPFII with my friend.

Those are my top 3 and really the only 3 that I have consistently played/

thanks for all the posts guys, i really want rez but i dont want to pay 800 ms points for it, i want to get four 400 point games with the 1600 card, what is a gip is the 200 points i got with the vision camera bundle totally lame

1.) Space Giraffe
2.) Pac-Man: Championship Edition
3.) Every Extended Extra Extreme

Those are my top 3.

I wouldn't pay for Puzzle Quest.. but thats probably because I have it on the DS so paying 1200 for a game I already have is not something I wanna do..

as for "full" games

Rez, Castlevania are full complete games

I also seen some XB originals that are worth getting

Psychonauts, Pirates, ninja gaiden black are all games i would look to get

fable wouldn't be that bad either.

My vote goes for Castlevania. I've played the crap out of that, also Doom is really fun. Avoid Sonic the hedgehog, its not as fun as you remember.

If you weren't a Sonic fan you won't like it. If you love Sonic pick up both of them! We must get Sonic 3 soon!
Outpost Kaloki X is a fun business strategy game (more sun than it sounds!) Uno is also a lot of fun.
agreed!

I have 200/200 in it. :D

No love for cloning clyde? I always felt it was an underrated game. Maybe its personal to me as it was my first xbla game I bought.
