just saw this morning that circuitcity.com has a lot of 360 accessories at a good price.

wireless controller $39
12 month live $39
quick charge kit (the one that charges two batteries) $25
wireless network adapter $85

there are some others, i think these are the more interesting ones, here's a link to the 360 accessories page

i coulda sworn that quick charge kit is cheaper... is there something that costs like 19.99 that lets you charge via the usb or something

If you have a Diamond Card you may be able to get an additional discount--sorry don't know the details. I think it was 10%.

that's the" plug and play kit", $20 bucks get you a rechargable battery and the usb cable that plugs into your controller. the "quick charge kit" gets you a battery and a battery charger (that plugs into an electrical socket i think) that charges two batteries. it can charge a battery in about 2 hours (or two batteries in about 4 hours) versus the plug and play kit taking about 4 hours for one battery. it retails for $30, CC has it for $25. $5 upgrade is a no brainer if you were looking at the "plug and play kit"

That would be the Play & Charge Kit.

Edit: Beaten to it (more or less). I wouldn't consider it a no-brainer, though, especially if one could get the Play & Charge at BB with a GGC Coupon, for example. The Play & Charge Kit has one big advantage over the Quick Charge: it allows you to play even if you have run down your battery. To me, anyway, it doesn't really matter that the Play & Charge takes longer to charge, since I can use the controller while it is charging.

Battery dies while playing,

Scenario A (Play & Charge): Plug it in, keep playing.

Scenario B (Quick Charge): No problem, just quit playing, take the battery out of the controller, wait for 2 hours, and you'll be back up and playing. (Alternatively, since you are removing the battery from the controller, you could take the battery cover that came with the controller, pop in some AAs, and continue playing. It is a bit more of a hassle, but it'd work).

Let's bump this bad boy. I just took advantage of it and scored the Xbox Live 12-month +1 card for $41 including tax, picked it up in store. Great price on the wireless network adapter too, for folks who may be on the fence.

I was unable to find this. It looks like this offer is expired. Too bad, it might have helped.
Does this 12-month live subscription include the $20 game rebate?
The $40 one is just the 12-month membership card; the $65 starter kit also has the $20 rebate, a headset, 200 MS Points, and Bankshot Billiards.
