OK I don't own a 360 yet but im planning on purchasing the arcade version ASAP. anyone out there in video game land know a place where I could track one down. Thanks.

Microsoft has yet to make it official. Probably in a week or so you can find one. Why not just buy a pro model?
 
official release date is tomorrow 10/23 everyone(best buy, eb,gs,cc) will have them but they are street dated. its a really good deal compared to the old core model.

I saw a couple at the Wal-Mart here in Christiansburg, VA.

Actually I saw them... yesterday I think. Maybe the day before. Awesome deal and if my 360 blows up and for some reason MS won't fix it, I'd get one in a heartbeat.

EDIT - I suppose I shouldn't bother posting this in the Regional Canadian section... Oh well, too late.
 
According to ebgames.com, a HDD is required for backwards compatibility. The fact that they mention it at all leads me to believe that it'll work with a hard drive.
 
Just get a Premium. There's plenty of good bundles here in Canada on that. For example, the deal on Dell which comes with free Halo 3 (along with Forza 2 and Marvel). Or the one in Future Shop where you get the GHII bundle with Forza 2 and Marvel.

The Core is still horrible. Hard drive is required to take full advantage of the 360.
 
I've got a HDD already from my defective laser Premium.
I guess this is my best option for a replacement console.
 
Where it shows the difference between the 3 systems on the box, it list the arcade as not backwords comp.
 
I will clear up my reasoning.

I have HDD already (Check check check don't ask me why or how)
I WANT hdmi.
I like green boxes VERY MUCH!
It's got wireless controllers ( I already own 1 and battery packs & quick charge kits)
I like it's all white finish + comes with HDD closure trap.
MEMORY CARD it's a good thing to have.
DID I MENTION IT's A CRAZY GREEN BOX?


 
i saw a stack of these at EB, but im in kansas city right now so im not sure if they are around back home...i was gunna pick up a GH3 bundle here but i missed the trade in deal where you get 20 extra bucks for a system here ( was gunna trade in my DS lite) would have been 90 bucks.
 
I just bought one. The arcade disc packaging was totally cracked. Then I went to swith the face plate and the tamper seal was removed but you could still see the resdue. Thank godthey took it back. Kinda off to a bad start.
 
I was at Toys R Us, some new Xbox 360 games were still $69.99 -_-
Got myself a set of 6 Tranformers action figures that transforms. They're the mini ones. Autobots, roll out.

Try Kmart. Man I saw one at K-Mart last Saturday when I made out like a bandit on their clearance sale. K-Mart was selling this thing last week! I thought it was an old version. Man that thing is stripped the hell down! a 256MB card. No hard drive.
 
That was last weeks Future Shop deal. Free Guitar Hero 2 bundle free with purchase of any XBOX 360 console.
