The 360 wired usb controller works great for pc gaming. It's plug and play and it's even better with games for windows (live) since you don't have to reconfigure the buttons/controls

Totally agree. It feels a lot more sturdy and well-built than many PC controllers IMO.

As a 360 controller, I prefer it because it's lighter and I don't have to worry about batteries.

I'll chime in my support for the wired 360 controller. Its nice to have as a spare 360 controller, but it works awesomely as a PC controller. A good controller really helps when playing platformers and makes the driving sequences of games control a lot better (i.e. Red Faction: Guerrilla).

I also have the wired. Love the thing. I don't have to worry about batteries and it's also lighter to boot, which makes it feel better in my hands. I haven't tried playing it on my PC as of yet, but I'll attempt to whenever I upgrade/build a new one later this year.
