Xbox 360 PowerSupply Fixes?

anyone hear of any rumors on a recall or a release of a second version of the xbox 360 with a better powersupply? wondering if they made any changes between the initial units mfg and the next batch that will be made.

Not sure, but my power supply is black or very dark and i have had zero problems.

My brick is black and cord is grayish, second shipment from target. Dont think that really means anything.

my brick is dark gray, but lighter than the cord. I got mine during the best buy second shipment. Its been runnin perfect

Mines dark grey as well and it's been running for a good bit. Got mine on the 22nd. Good to go so far.

did you guys get yours WITH the free remote or the bundle without the remote. the last few have had NO remote bundled in. I am guessing there should be a mfg code on the bottom that should show the date the XBOX 360 or the power supply was manufactured.

I was curious if anyone is seeing a newer power supply shipping with the xboxes that do not have the remote.

looks like it may not be the power supply but just ventalation issues. the heat sync over the GPUs withouth enough airflow may be the reason for the lock ups and not the powersupply... I am guessing that others moving the supply away from the XBOX 360 is why it fixed the lock ups. because the supply was generating too much heat being sucked back into the xbox 360....

just scored one from BB and the mfg date was 12-9-05 with the remote. power supply was a dark grey putty color (almost black). hard to wrangle the power cord wire as its pretty thick to try and get some organization to the wires behind my TV.

so far no lockups. have it placed on a OPEN on all 4 sides entertainment stand. hopefully enough ventalation for both the xbox, the power supply, and the PVR and DVD upscalling players.
