You can't do that.. one of ebay's crap things.. i'd suggest doing a buy it now with immediate payment required.. i had to quit selling 360's on ebay because of all the scammers..

No you can block people that have a negative rating or people that have won more than 2 of your auctions (I think) if they have a feedback less than 10. No way to block zero feedback people. The only other way is to have people email you and block everyone, but that is a pain in the ass.

Ebay doesn't really make it easy for you to keep the scammers.

Wow, you won't believe it. I'll quote their response:

Mother fucker. I'm sick of the scammers. Any suggestions? Maybe scam the scammer?

I have been listing with the following on my Sellers Preference:

Block users who:
Are registered in countries to which I don't ship (I choose to ship in USA only)
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days
Don't have a PayPal account (I only use this on big $ items like PSPs, 360s)

Ive sold my PSP, Xbox360, and a few Cellphones this year and have never had to deal with Scammers. I also put in bold on my auction that NIGERIAN scammers are not welcome

Heres my just ended PSP auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...80010320684&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESO:IT&rd=1

Thanks for the suggestion. I just edited my preferences.

I found the person's phone number and real name.

Larry Exline
1230 W Florida St
Springfield, MO 65803-1561
(417) 862-6852

Reverse address is your friend. So is this the person or do the scammers use another person's address?

The scammers hack other people's accounts and bid/buy things using them.

This is someone with 0 feedback who just joined today though...

I hear ya. I say have them pay you if they win (wait until the money gets into your own account.)

If possible, open up another account with your bank and add that as your bank account through paypal (make sure that the account doesnt have any form of overdraft protection though...keep reading i'll explain as I go).

NOW, when the payment clears and it's been deposited to your account, go ahead and withdraw the cash and deposit it into your other account. Ship the item, which is the XBox 360, and get it insured through FedEx or whomever ships that far.

Also, charge a little extra for shipping it out that far.

If anything goes wrong, you've insured it so let said shipping company fix it for them. If it is a scammer, you've already closed the bank account so there shouldn't be anything you need to worry about afterwards.

It sounds lame as a seller, but I've been thinking of doing that myself since I've heard some really bad ebay horror stories.

Anyway hope that helps.

Thanks, but it's not really worth my time or effort. It would also be going against my own terms, even though I don't care. I specifically stated those terms in my auction and he or she broke them.

Update. I reported them to eBay last night and I woke up this morning to find that they are no longer a registered user! YAY! Now I get my refund instantly!

Anyways, my 360 is still up there and I lowered the price a bit. Once again, $10 for any CAG, but I know this auction isn't a good deal for you guys.

This is fucking ridiculous. Another buyer with 0 feedback bought my relist and hasn't responded. Maybe I'm getting a little over anxious, but COME ON YOU STUPID MORON READ MY TERMS! I wish could find this person and punch them in the FACE and then force them to read my terms 1 million times.

Probably the same person again, just registered today.

I guess the "block people from places i dont ship" doesnt help if the nigerian scammers registered with US addresses (or hacked accounts).
well, I bought it
now if you could just send it to my brother in namibia....

Just kidding :p
Haha, very funny. Anyways, you sent me so many messages, I'll just reply to the one through eBay. Thanks!

Was it a fixed price auction? If so, you should choose the option for "immediate payment required" so if anyone wants to buy it, they have to pay right away. It's the best way to avoid those Nigerian douches

Yeah, I thought about doing that, I think I will next time I want to sell at a fixed price. I found a buyer from CAG though, so that makes it all the better.

I'm not gonna read all the posts but if you don't want negative bidders or people with 0 feedback to bid.. why don't you just set the option to not allow either or get rid of bids that do bid with 0 feedback or negative feedback if you don't have the option set. Not that difficult.

there is no option for blocking Zero feedback buyers. Negative feedback buyers can be blocked, but there is no option for zero feedback buyers. That's the way it should be, because everyone has to start somewhere, and if people don't sell to zero feedback buyers, there would be no new people in the marketplace, and that's a bad idea.

mrblonde is right. You should be able to block them and only let them bid if you allow them to, I don't know though, it's complicated stuff.

AcePuppy: I did set the option so people with negative feedback can't bid and other options too, but dead beat bidders can still get through.
