Xbox for the needy!

Well, I love my gaming, and have somehow gone without an Xbox for this long. I'm dying now. Dying to play some XBL.

I've been searching high and low for a good deal, checking ebay often, and looking at every store. But I have not been able to find anything that doesn't get you with S&H, or alludes to being broken.

Now, I don't really like used things, but I'm willing to go used on this. If anyone knows of any good deals (preferably not an auction, but I'm sure that's the best deal out there, so I'm not gonna close that off), I need to know! I want an Xbox, and Controller S (preferably 2 - and an definitely an S. No girl I know has hands big enough for that damn gigantic monstrosity), and a copy of Halo 2 or Splinter Cell. The game isn't quite as important, as I can find those cheap on my own. But this stupid system is giving me some trouble.

Right, sorry for the long post. And thanks for any help. :) Oh, and I can't do any auctions that are ending really soon, as I need some time before I make the purchase (not a lot of time, mind you, but if I'm doing an auction I need to see it a day in advance, preferably. Or, at least quite a few hours before it ends, in which case an auction isn't really a good idea :p)

You should have tried to price match when CompUSA had that grand opening deal for their megastores for $50 Xboxes. That's what I did. Obviously that was a huge YMMV deal since the stores were only in like 3 states, but I got CC to price match anyway +the extra 10% for a $40 Xbox. I couldn't believe it, but holding out as long as I did paid off.

Just curious, where did you those game holders/shelves that are in your sig? I'm running out of room in my current rack and those look like a good idea.

Wow, I was thinking that too :eek: I saw some great ones at IKEA, but those look a lot cheaper. And they look really nice with all those games in it

It's funny, I don't post a whole lot, but when I do, I always get at least one or two PMs about the DVD cases. Thanks for the compliment. I have updated the signature with info about them.

Thanks, I just got done redoing the whole game room after our neighbors bathroom flooded the room out.
 
Darn :( Well, unfortunately the awesome deal of that one seller was taken before I was able to get it. The guy had emailed him the day before :( I was quite close too.

Ah well :( That just means I'm still looking for a good deal :) I've been checking craigslist daily now, but I'm still in need of some assistance in finding one. Anyone else know of any other good deals on a Xbox?
