Xbox Headset

Okay guys, I'm trying to use an old 2 mm headset from a couple years back with my xbox and so the deal is that the jack fits in the controller, and I can say things on the mic, however I can't hear back anything. Anyone know whats going on or what I can do, should I try a different 2 mm headset? Thanks!

I'd just try a different one. Odds are it's a short in the wiring somewhere.

I had to replace my original wired head set last fall as it just randomly stopped working intermittently.

I've got like 80 of those headsets and 3 of them work.

The wires in those things are so cheap and shitty that they break if you straighten them out stretching for your beer sometimes.
