Xbox One Headset Adapter - Anyone having problems?

So I picked up the Xbox One stereo headset adapter yesterday, updated my controller and plugged in my Sony Pulse Edition headset. The sound and chat output sounded great! However, the people in my party kept hearing their own voices echo. I tried another headset (Razer Eelctra) and the same problem arose.

Any one have a problem around this? Or is this just something I'm going to have to accept?

This should help. For whatever reason MS enabled the ability to hear your own voice when you talk. Its called voice check or something like that. I hate it

Mic monitoring is not enabled through the chat adapter. I wish it was though because with my XO Fours on i tend to talk loudly since I cant hear myself. Hopefully Microsoft will incorporate it soon.

It is with the regular old chat headset, but with the headset it is not. I don't want to hear my voice,
