What are your dream DS games?
Somebosy said it already, but a wrestling title would be really great. The touch screen would make navigating the Create-A-Wrestler menus much faster, and there could be an option for drawing logos onto shirts, etc.
i agree...but it needs an aki engine, if it dosent have one, theres no point to making the game because it wont be as fun.

This thread alone gives me such faith in the DS as a platform. If us schmucks can think up such cool ideas, imagine what people who get paid for it have in store for us.

I'd LOVE to see a new Game and Watch Gallery DS.

Think of all the Dual Screen Classics they could remake on the DS...

you couild even have to turn the system on its side to play this...

Agreed. I would be perfectly happy with No Mercy getting ported, sped up a bit, roster and moves updated, and having some touch screen options added.
Game & Watch Gallery would be sick!
only a matter of time, my man.... only... a matter.... of time...
(pardon the pun)

Do JPN DS games play on an American DS just like with the GBA? If so, I really dont care if they port over a few of the games that have been linked to in this thread.

A Wario and Waluigi vs Mario and Luigi platforming game could be great. You play as Wario and Luigi in the top screen while Mario and Luigi are on the bottom screen. Both teams want to reach the end of the level first so you would have to use the touch screen to trip up M & L and keep them from crossing the finish line first.

Region free.
a real megaman title not zero and battle network
i believe the real megaman series ended with rockman and forte, which was brought to the US
since AIM has a direct connect mode where you can send pictures, they ought to port AIM to the DS.
This is what they need most. Nintendo and AOL made some kind of deal. If the DS could get AIM this would sell systems to everyone.

We need a handheld fighting game so that can actually take advantage of the four face buttons! So far no fighting game has been fully enjoyable on the GBA because we've only two face and two shoulder buttons to work with.

SFAE DS!!!!!
hows that for an acronym?

Kudos to fighting games- my vote is Mortal Kombat (and even though it isn't a REAL fighting game, a new Super Smash Bros. would make my day)
WORMS!!! I can't even believe how well this would work.
Oh yeah! I have a worms imitation game called "Snails" on my pda and it is fantastic. Worms would definately do well with the touch screen.

Sorry guys, but the only game where the main character is a worm that I'd ever play is Earthworm Jim (or Clayfighter 63 1/2, but only cause he's in it)

Remember Ballz for Super Nintendo? What about a fighting game where you got to draw your character, and the end result was something simplistic looking like Ballz. Of course, I would hope it played a little (read: a lot) better.

Or how about a game like Snake Rattle and Roll, where the snake is constantly moving, and you tap where you want him to go, tap him to jump, and use L (or R for lefties) to eat things?

Starfox DS.

'nuff said.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing.

And I'm talking the Super Nintendo Starfox.

God I miss that game.
With the audio from Starfox 64. I loved SF64 for the fact that it was so immersive with the radio banter back and forth between the SF team and the enemies. So much spoken dialogue for a cart game. And the music...I have the OST for it. Good stuff.
I've heard Chu Chu Rocket is in the works for DS. That could definitely get pretty hectic.
If that is true, I would have to change pants upon verification.

Hmm...that would be neat. Wonder if they could fit both on the same cartridge?

Soul Caliber, Tekken, or VF. Who cares if they use the touch screen it would be sick. I would kill for a M:tg ds. Your touch screen would show your cards and the top screen could show your opponents section.

Those Hoyle Casino Pc games would be Awesome

Sega needs to bring Seaman to the Ds since it alreay has a built in microphone.

A remake of Mike Tysons Punch Out

A remake of Super Dodgeball

Poy Poy

me and my bros were also thinking porting starcraft 64 would b a great idea. using the touch screen could really give it a new flavor.

Wow i just read through this whole thread and i must say that this is gonna be a freaking awesome system.

Alot of u guys suggestions i think could be easily implemented that's what makes it so great.

Hopefully Feel the Magic is selling well because that would open up the floodgates for almost any genre of games.
I'd like to see Beatmania or any rhythm game that would let you use the touch screen. Maybe a Donkey Konga DS?
Great idea. A Donkey Konga for the DS sounds like a natural. Especially with the touch screen.

I would love a sequel finally to Einhander. This could be great with the touch screen and could truly reinvigorate the shooter genre. You know what, while they are at it how about a sequel to Ikaruga also for the DS.

I had the thought that it might be cool to incorporate the touch screen in a baseball game. Like guiding the path of the bat's swing to hit the ball.

I can't wait to see all the new gameplay mechanics developers are going to come up with. It's gonna be sweet!

I've read most of the posts and I think Waluigi (like somebdoy mentioned) really deserves his own game. I like the idea somebody offered with Mario/Luigi versus Wario/Waluigi. Could be interesting. I would love another SSBM on the DS. I can only think of all the possibilities with the great wireless/multiplayer I heard the DS has as well as the 2 screens. You could display huge levels on the two screens.

Are there any golf games in the making? The touchpad seems made for something like that. It would be a lot more challenging, but also a lot more rewarding since you would really get the chance to affect your shot.

Doshin the Giant would be great if they ported it over for either GCN or the DS. You could really show his heigth on the dual screens of the DS. I would love to also see the Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Earthbound (Mother 1/2) be released here. I found that there has been some confirmation on Earthbound (Mother 3) so at least we are getting one.

I would love to see some sequels of the Chrono Trigger/Cross. Also a sequel to Bushido Blade would be also cool but not before Chrono finally gets the sequel it deserves.

Tiger Woods, its going to be released in about two weeks I think.
