XBOX Trade-in value GS vs. EB

Does anyone know the trade-in prices to either of these stores?

And let me just say: sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

I know a deal ended at EB where if you trade in an Xbox with three games you get $100 in credit. Apparently later in August there will be a similar deal, but rather than Xbox+ 3 gfames = 100 it'll be Xbox+30games equlas $40 EXTRA credit, on top of what an Xbox would normally fetch. I'd think that would make it slightly over $100, but I am not at all sure.

Waiting for deals like the one stated above is usually the best way to go. Generally speaking and in my experience...Gamestop is higher. You can find out the B&M value by going to tradestop.com and multiplying that trade in value by 1.4. If tradestop's trade in value is 'overstock' the B&M value is at most $3. The only way I know to get EB's trade in values is to call and hope to get a employee willing to help you out or to go to EB and have them scan the games. Like I said at the beginning though, the special deals are almost always the best way to go.

Well, I looked at tradestop but they didn't have the price for a Xbox. Also, I would wait for those deals, but I wasn't really planning on trading in the only two games I have for it. Thanks for the advice though.

That's a great way of figuring out the Gamestop prices. But I have to ask, how did you figure out that by multiplying 1.4 gets you the B&M value? I have no reason not to believe you, but I'm just curious about how you came to that.
