I just returned from my vacation in Canada (I was visiting a friend), and I was amazed by how much rare/out-of-stock/hard-to-find video game stuff was easily obtainable.
Wii's were in stock almost everywhere I went, although they were about $10 more than the US MSRP price. Mario Kart for the Wii was plentiful. I actually picked up a copy. And the GameStop I was at had some rarer GBA games in stock like the NES Classics and Wario Ware. Oddly, the Gamestops in Canada still stock used PSX and N64 games. One store actually seals their copies of all of their used games which was pretty nice.
If you're American and aren't far from the border, I'd suggest going up north for those hard to find items. If you're Canadian, consider yourself lucky for your bountiful rare video game goodies
