One year , I had no idea what I was getting , and I really didn't ask for anything special .
I couldn't find anything , then under my parents bed I found a wrapped gift with no tag .
As the days went by I racked my brain , what could it be ?
One night when we had a babysitter while mom and dad were ata Christmas party , I finally worked up the nerve to carefully open a corner .
Low and behold ! It was an Atari 5200 !

That's probably the one I remember the most .

You like that huh ? I know it probably bugs some people but that's usually enough incentive to keep doing it .

I remember waiting until my Dad left and slightly opening one end of a gift and I saw the Xbox logo!! It was an original xbox right after it came out, but he used it a lot more than I did. :)

When I was a wee lad, I could never sleep christmas night. One year (sometime before I was 9) I remember sneaking down and opening the corner of every gift that had my name on it. One gift was tickets to a wwf event and I had to completely open it to see what it was since they were in a long watch type gift box. :D

It's been a while since I had a chance to do so. I'm always either buying everything I want myself before anyone has a chance to get it for me (resulting in gift cards/money often) or my fiance has to basically ask what I wanted the past few years. (2006 she had to ask what number I wanted on my personalized jersey, 2007 she had to ask whether I wanted GH3 on Wii or PS3). 2008 will be a surprise but I think I will be able to contain myself overnight.

I don't have a "best" one, but around 4th or 5th grade I remember discovering one of the clothes hampers in my parents room had a few things in it...got excited since the Legend of Zelda board game was in there, which was something I wanted badly at the time. No idea why.

Anyway, parents knew I had looked and were not happy about it. That was the last time I looked.

We got in the attic one time snooping for presents. My little brother didn't know you're supposed to walk on the beams, and he caused the roof to collapse in our garage.

I remember one time when my parents were out, I snuck into the the basement where the kept all of the presents. They hadn't wrapped them yet, so I quickly found my Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Shogun Megazord :) I memorized the entire process of transforming it before they even gave it to me ;)

I usually knew what I was getting mostly before hand. The after Santa days were good but nothign compared to the actual amazement of not knowing what you are going to get.

That's awesome. I remember sneaking into my parents' room and finding Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! and Tetris (the Tengen cart) in a shopping bag. What a Christmas!

I snuck around and found what my presents were every year, along with my brother's and sisters, and I'd always tell them it to ruin the surprise (hey, they were jerks to me at that time, they deserved it).

Eventually, since I kept finding them year after year, because I'm impatient, they just started to let me order whatever I wanted (gave me a limit to spend) and just use them whenever. I made them give-up on trying.
