Sony:
- I'd like a PS3 price drop, but I think they'll bring the 80 GB model to the US along with a bundled rumble SIXAXIS and maintain that at the $600 price point. Same price but more 'value', I guess.
- White Knight Story release dates. The best looking game of TGS '06 should come back for more this summer.
- Square Enix blowout? I think this would be saved for TGS as S-E would go for the gusto rather than a smaller show. But since this is the initial 'new' E3, I think more eyes would be watching this. It's time for updates on DQ9, both FF:CC games and of course Last Remnant and FF13 saga stuff.
- PSP Slim? Enough 'rumors' are out there that it's time Sony shows off the redesign. They've essentially lost the handheld game market, so I expect the redesign to be far more media savvy than the current one.
Nintendo:
- Updates on SSB, Mario & Metroid (which should be as close to final as possible). Likely to hear some new IP stuff too as I think it was a year after the GC launch that we first say Pikmin.
- DS redesign? Too soon. DS Lite is just over a year old and I think it would only hurt them at this point. The Lite fixed some of the flaws with the Phat, but I can't imagine any possible improvement on the Lite w/o it being a new system entirely. Probably '08 for this announcement.
- Wii 3rd party extravaganza. The nay sayers were wrong, graphical prowess aside, the Wii market has exploded and there's money to be made in that blue ocean. Hopefully there'll be some winners in here, but honestly I haven't heard of much anything.
Microsoft:
- Halo 3. Do they really need anything else?
- Yes. Their two strong RPGs should be there (Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata). Also likely to see MS touting GTAIV's exclusive content as well.
3rd Party Stuff:
- GTAIV should make a strong appearance and with a launch in 3 months, there should be some gameplay available now.
- Assassin's Creed. Too quite since it was first announced, should see a full update.
- RE5. Likewise.
