Zelda DS polished up

hupp

CAGiversary!
Thank god nintendo is going to wait till the end of the year to put this one out.
I wasn't to excited about it until I realized that it is getting an extra year of polish similar to what the last zelda got. The more coats of gloss the better.
I thought the Big N had been rushing out some of its titles lately, so this is a pleasant surprise.

I don't think you ever have to worry about a Zelda game developed by Nintendo. I doubt they would ever let one get out the door unless it was game of the year candidate material.

I don't know... Wind Waker felt kind of rushed. A good game nonetheless, but rushed.
I just hope they are taking out the stylus only controls. That looked pretty lame.
It won't be, so get over it. As all the hands-on previews from last year said, you get used to it in 30 seconds and move on.

Ugh. They also said that about Mario 64 DS's touchscreen controls, and that never actually happened.

That is when the phat DS had a stylus as thin as a needle. The DS Lite's stylus and layout feels like breasts in your hand.

I doubt I"d get used to it that fast.

My main concern is if it's all stylus it isn't going to really be a true, traditional zelda game.

Stylus control won't allow for all the quick movements needed to dodge, attack and run away etc. that are the norm for the series.

At best it will just be dumbed down and all you do is tap enemies and link does the rest, but that doesn't appeal to me much.

It's hard to be negative on Zelda as all the games have been great, but the touch screen controls and the fact that its the follow up to the weakest game (though still very good) in the series worries me some.

If was rushed, they removed two levels.

In their defense, wasn't it said that those dungeons were removed because they sucked? OoT had dungeons removed as well, but I don't see people harping on it for being rushed. Also, if i remember right, Wind Waker was released in the springtime/summer, giving them no reason to rush to meet a release date..

I'm betting even Twilight Princess had dungeons started that were removed.
