Zelda OoT 3D in Calgary?

Anyone able to find this? I'm in the south and I can't find it anywhere...it's crazy.

I'm just in Calgary visiting for the week, and back home (Vegas) and Idaho Falls (where I stopped on the way up) had tons of copies in all of their shops.

Is it like this all over Canada?

I feel your pain. I feel it even worse because I live here temporarily (I'm a US citizen from Chicago). Please, if anyone has seen one recently from Calgary, AB, respond to this thread.

I had the same problem in Edmonton. I phoned and visited about twenty different stores before I finally found a copy at an SDM (the last one, too). It's insane. Was it just undershipped or more people looking to buy it than expected?

I believe the problem is they only printed as many copies as there are 3DS's out there. There's twice as many Zelda collectors than there are 3DS owners. I couldn't give a fuck about owning a 3DS at this time, but I'd be inclined to buy OoT if I spotted it. And I certainly would've preordered it if I'd heard about the free soundtrack deal before it happened.

If you're really desperate, try phoning up some stores in Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, etc. Surrounding communities tend to take longer to sell stuff out (I remember on Wii launch day my local big-box store took until 12:30pm to sell out, and that was in rural Alberta). Worse comes to worse Medicine Hat might work as well.

Yeah, it's getting closer to the point where I may as well just wait to get back to Vegas and order on Amazon.

127 days of my life spent doing nothing.

They're expecting a re-stock next week at videogamesplus.ca; you'll have to pay a bit for shipping, but if you're desperate...

EDIT: Sorry, I missed the part where you mentioned you were only visiting for the week. I guess this is of no use...

I've been hearing "Next week, next week" all over the place, so it should be in stock again next week.

Still, I have to wonder just how they managed to sell out completely, chronic underestimation of people buying a 3DS and Zelda at the same time maybe?

It's a complete failure on NoC's part. The first GOOD title for the system, one that would push systems, and they totally screwed it up.
