whats the best way to edit the topic. took me forever to edit it. everytime i doubleclick on it, it just goes to the thread.
 
Don't double click on it. Double click to the right of it.

There, I even made the title instructive. :)

In fact, you can double click anywhere in the title block as long as you aren't clicking text.

Yeah, this topic gets brought up at least once a week in some form or another. I let this simmer in here for a little while and before it gets moved to the General CAG Questions Forum.

You click the "Edit" button on the OP and then there is a button on that screen that says "Go Advanced". Click that and you can edit the Topic Title the old fashioned way.
