Just picked up a PS3 60 GB Bundle at my local BJ's for $480...it came with Resistence, Genji, and the Talladega Nights Bluray...it was the display model so it was the last one but it came with everything...i was surprised to see it on clearance like that

This deal is Very YMMV though since it is BJ's:cry:

edit...just doublechecked...i am missing the small usb cable, and the ethernet cable...weird but not a big deal

Which store is this going on at? And was b/c it was the floor model?

I got a 20 GB PS3 yesterday at my Wal-Mart that I work at for $300, it was a return or something, im hoping there's nothing wrong with it.
 
Was it one of those display models that's constantly running? If so I'd get an extended warranty if they offer it (I'm not familiar with the store since we don't have them here so I don't know if they do or not). That's an awesome find but you might be risking a burnout a few months down the road. Those PS3 units get pretty hot when they run, especially if it's like at Target where they're locked up in a display case.

naa...it was in the glass display case...i have seen it sit there since they had it a few months ago...if it was running i dont think i would have bothered
 
Even if it was opened and used, it probably wasn't registered--if you register it now, you'll get the 1 year warranty from Sony :)

That's a hell of a deal, too bad I've never heard of BJs. If I got it I would sell those games and make it almost cost what...... like 430ish.

You know I've started noticing alot of deals for the PS3 which is obviously odd since its brand new. I wonder how long its lack of popularity will push this whole discount deal.

Hopefully it'll get even better when Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out.

Hey man, better becareful it is not the floor models that will automatically reset after 5 mins of play. The kind that they do not want people to hang out there the entire day and goes back to the PS3 screen. I thought the floor model they had at best buy was overheating, but the game sales person saids that it will reset every 5 mins during gameplay. sooo.. good luck to you fellow CAG.

the floor models would probably not come in a retail box, and this wasnt hooked up to a tv, it was in a display case with the newer games...and its been there ever since i first saw it a while ago when the ps3 was becoming easy to find...it was kind of weird that it was out of the box but i never thought anything of it before today since i would never dream of paying $799 for it
 
I don't think it was opened at all.

At my local BJ's, the display model is just the sealed box, in a glass case, with the three games laying down on the shelf next to it.
 
Awesome deal. Congrats, but like another poster suggested, I would get an extended warranty. Especially if it has been turned on all these months. None-the-less, you saved a crap load of money :p. Out of curiousity, when you say "display model" does that mean like displayed in a glass case to show people what it looks like OR displayed to the point of where people can actually play it.
 
I agree that BJs has some awesome deals lately. They have some great X360 games for less than $25 in my area as well.
 
so has anyone else been to other bj's and can possibly confirm this???

i still don't know if it's at every bj's with floor models or is it just a once in a lifetime score for Op
 
Now this is how a CAG buys PS3's $120 off and 2 free games. Even I who doesn't want a PS3 would be that much more tempted if I had the money and no 360. That is a great deal, and too bad I never been to a BJ's.
 
They have the same bundle at the BJs I went to, but their price tag still says $799.99. I guess it might be worth asking about, but that price is probably accurate for that particular store.
 
I have a BJ's near me in NY. they have a couple old ass 360 games, no ps3 or wii games, and have never sold the wii or the ps3. :(

Hell, I'd probably buy a 2nd ps3 for that price.
 
For Cleveland area CAGers, I went to the Willoughby and Warrensville Heights locations and neither had any sort of deal like this, nor any PS3's at all.
