some scissors with a very pointy tip is useful for cutting small parts. A xacto knife is also very useful. When you cut, cut a little into the colored area so the seams wont have white areas exposed.

elmer's white glue is pretty good for this kinda of stuff. spread the glue evenly with strips of notecards.

Tweezers is a must if you want good looking papercraft. They let u apply pressure to near that corners where your fingers cant reach.
