What would you get for a 360??

Spades22

CAGiversary!
Just wondering, since this is the Canadian forum and I'd get American prices in other threads, but how much could I sell a NEW 360, sealed, for? Whether in like ads or ebay or whatever, what could I get for it? I'm thinking of selling it if I get enough then buy the new 360 coming out, but I mean if the new one will still cost me 200 bucks more, then I probably won't bother. I mean...I could buy a Wii for that almost :p

nah I don't feel right doing that (since i didnt buy it from them)...plus I don't even know what's inside. There might be PGR3 I think which was bundled...but I can't be 100% for sure.

I picked up a new one off of EBay a month or so ago for about $460 which I ended up using to trade for a PS3.

I've seen some used video game stores sell used premiums at $399.99 + tax which works out to about $456 after tax.

You could probably get an immediate buyer if you asked for around $400-$435 range .

Try craigslist.org.

seriously? Sweet!! Then I think I'll sell it either way...might as well. I mean I could buy a premium again for like 100 bucks more, except a better game than PGR3 probably worth 30 bucks more, so comes out to only 70...Thanks.

The best deals for the 360 GRAW bundle were $399 during Boxing Day, and more recently, $399 at Shoppers (plus you get a whack of Optimum points).

Since yours is the older PGR3 bundle you might have to lower it a bit. Plus there's the fact that the 360 has a new COD3 bundle out, which may mean the GRAW bundles will be cleared out.

IMO $400 is probably the maximum selling price.

Unless you download lots of stuff from the marketplace, you really don't need the new 360. Its pretty ugly actually.
But yeah, I could see 400 dollars.

Like right NOW they're selling for 400 bucks new? Meaning I could walk in to shoppers and get the graw bundle for 400 dollars??

Uh, I posted this in another thread, but maybe you guys have opinions too...it seems urgent or w/e, I just wanna know if its valid/a good deal cause I dont know how much the shipping will cost me IN CANADIAN, so I thought I'd post here too. I've never really bought or sold anything online...but It's about the 360 and some guy wants it:

The item is for my son's birthday gift who travelled to spend sometime with his mum where she works in the US consulate in west africa.I'll have to add some extra for you to send it to him as soon as possible.I'll be paying you through Stormpay money order as soon as you make your decision i will pay you $610 for the item and shipnt fee; it's secure and protects two parties in a transaction.Let me hear from You ASAP.Get back with the following informaton for me to make payment fast.

Seems like a scam. Don't do it. My advice is to just use the B/S/T forums at RedFlagDeals or list it at www.craigslist.org and sell it locally face-to-face. That way, no chance of being scammed and no shipping issues.

Ya thats what someone said in the other thread too...I wont bother unless it's face to face. They posted an exact scam type that matched that email perfectly, so its obviously scammy lol.

What's ironic is that I've never sold anything online or bought anything online cause I didn't want to get my credit card or item scammed, and now the first somewhat close buy/sell online experience I may have had would have been a scam lol...

Only do face to face deals on your terms. ie. arrange for a local pickup.

That's funny. I sold my modded PS1 on craiglist and I swear that same "interested buyer" contacted me about some BS about sending it to Africa too. The same thing happened when I placed an ad to get rid of my 360 and wii for a PS3.

That guy is truly pathetic. If it sounds at all suspicious to you, just ignore the email altogether and don't respond to the party.

lol ya I shouldn't have. Funny thing was he said urgent, so i emailed him back soon after, but after over 24 hours he emailed ME back. He probably wasn't expecting to actually get a response, lol...guess it wasn't too urgent after all xD

...wow I just got another post and it sounds like ANOTHER scam. Read this one, is it? Should I even respond...lol

My name is (taken out), am interested in your lovely
item posted on CL.
I'll like to know it's present condition.I am willing to make an offer
of $500 for the item.Get back to me with your full name and address so that i can proceed with the payment asap.
After the payment has been confirmed, i will like to handle the
shipping myself through my private Fedex account.

Generally avoid using someone's 'private' courier account, avoid Western Union for payments, and a bunch of other warnings. They're so prevalent that any response to a craigslist for sale ad will come with many warnings about scammers.

I've had extremely few problems buying/selling via eBay, for 11 years now! Wow. Anyway, yeah, definitely safer to stick to a local deal. Good luck!
Confirmed by Engadget...
How does that confirm anything? They don't list any source other than their own article that just reports on a supposed Game Informer exclusive. Which is strange enough in and of itself. Why would MS give the exclusive to Game Informer instead of doing their own press event? This has April Fools written all over it. Until I hear something concrete I'm not believing a word of it. Did you read about the supposed pictures of the Elite packaging up on Engadget & Joystiq? Yeah, Photoshopped. http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/22/first-xbox-360-elite-pics
I'd bet money it's all an elaborate April Fools joke.

It's not even April yet, maybe if this was posted up on April 1, you'd have some grounds to write it off as a joke. An increased HD size is obviously the next step, since the launch of the media marketplace PLUS the increase in size of XBLA games... Who said MS was ready to release the info? Things get leaked out all the time... and what do you consider to be "confirmation" anyways? Companies are always going back against their word, adding/taking away features, or changing launch dates. I consider an article from a worthy gaming journalism site to be confirmation enough.

Umm is it possible to hook up your 360 to a cable box which is connected to the TV through one of those white cords? It's the only thing I have near this TV that can use those colored red/white/yellow plugins, and I don't feel like bringing it to the other floors lol

Never under no circumstances sell to someone in Nigeria, africa or whatever. They try and offer you deals "too good to be true" EVERYTIME it's for a son/nephew/daughter etc living wherever, needs a gift for school bullshit.

I'm not sure how craiglist works, does it have a rating system or show how many transactions you have? Because on ebay these filthy scammers always try and target new ebayers with 0 feedback with this bullshit.

If you really wanted too, tell him you will only sell it if he sends you a fedex label or something, put nothing in the box, if you really wanted to be nasty some poo would work, put a value of $200 on it so the low-life has to pay custom fees on it, and teach his dirty ass a lesson.:applause:

aah I figured out how to hook it up with composite. Umm, but now I have one more question.

You know how when you get to the part in Xboxlive where it tells you that you have a free 1 month gold live option available? Well, do I have to use it right away? I don't actually want to, since I have no time to play live anyways nor any games yet, I just wanted to download some demos. So...is there a way I can save that 1 month free (It comes when you start a new 360...)

So I guess you decided to keep it? The 1 month starts as soon as your start your account. You can't delay it. It's for any gamertag created on the 360 (not if you do it online).

You can create a gamertag on your 360 with an email/gamertag you don't want to download demos with. Later on, you can create your real gamertag with your real email. Both will get the 1 month of Gold.

oooh darn it. Ya I didn't want to waste a month of gold though, and I also don't want to lose my gamertag. (I'd sooner use all 3 accounts then I get 3 months free...) Is there any way that I can make some account on some website just so I can keep my gamertag until I actually sign up for live in a month? I don't have much time until then...and it seems like such a waste.

Nope =/ I didn't even get my month since I signed up on the Xbox site before I got my 360 from Pepsi. Kinda annoyed me since I thought it would start once I signed in on my 360. I'd say just live with it =( You'll be saving on Live if you keep your eye on CAG anyway. Heck, you might still be able to get the Live Gold Vision kit for $55. I hear some Future Shops are honouring it (see my other topic).

How'd you get the 360 anyway?

Hmm ok well, I guess I'll just hope noone takes it lol. Umm, can I make like a 2nd account with the gamertag I want then later delete that account and use that same gamertag for my REAL account so I can use that month free again?

Hmm just wondering, my family tripped on the power cord and my 360 shut off while I was playing, would this affect it in any way? I have it connected to a power bar which is connected to the wall if that means anything. Hope it didn't...it turned back on after...lol

lol ok, it seems to be going pretty much the same...I notice more stuff now but thats probably cause I'm paranoid now xD. My gamecube partially wrecked when this happened, so thats why...

Guys at CAG, I got scammed few weeks ago on eBay.

"NEVER SHIP TO AFRICA ESPECIALLY NIGERIA". If you go to the eBay forum and search for the word Nigeria you would find dozens of posts of people reporting this. I was so stupid. I actually sent my 80GB iPod to Nigeria to this f*ck hole. I had the iPod shipped back before it reached him, but the $217 shipping and insurrance was non refundable.

I am currently auctioning my Xbox360 and I still receive those scam emails saying how they gona pay $600USD and crap, f*cking bullsh*t. They will NEVER pay you. All they do is send you a fake paypal payment (I can't believe I fell for it).

Hot tip: never sell anything that is shipping to a thrid world country or eastern europe. The laws make it so they will never even lift a finger to find your crook. Trust me, I found out the hard way...
