9/28 - Been a very long time since ive updated!!! Most of the anticipation thread is now out lol. Spent the last few hours doing a major overhaul on A-M, so that should be fully updated. If i missed something please inform, otherwise feel free to make the thread on discussion if the game is not listed. I plan on finishing N-Z by Wed, so the official index will be fully updated. Then I will move on to anticipation index/XBLA index.

I made the exact same list a few weeks back. I've been fleshing it out for a while, still haven't posted it.


Very good idea, hopefully you keep it updated if you're going to manage the list.

Someone should make a "master thread" to have stickied, with links to all the threads that "should" be stickied, though for sanity's sake, won't be. All of the existing threads that are stickied should go in there, and this thread here.

I'd say un-sticky the "coffin support group"...."HD-DVD"....and the "Gamercards on this forum" threads.

Thanks for the support guys! I updated it a bit after searching for some older games, and while doing so i noticed something...there are plenty of "official" threads that are just full of hype but then when the game actually comes out, people post their impressions in a new thread.

Sooo, i tried to put in the thread that holds the most impressions and discussion on the game. Also I added anticipation threads so that hopefully discussion will continue in those threads so we dont see the same happen in the future.

That's the problem I run into with the FAQ thread (which I realize I will have to bleed into the 2nd post when I update it). If you make a "master thread" that simply links all these things, it will be useless. I'd say less than half of the 360 forum regulars pay any attention to the FAQ thread, and new thread creators definitely don't pay attention to it, though it is stickied. You think those same people will scroll through an OP the size you are imagining to look for a link to a thread they should already have posted in or searched for? Answer: not at all.

No matter how many stickies you have in this side of the forums, there will always be the inexperienced CAG or the lazy CAG who wants a "quick answer" to a question and makes their own thread.

This is why there were so many stickies, because the problem has been so rampant that the 5 or 6 most talked about topics were thrown to the top hoping that people would actually look at them/post in them vs. 3 different threads per topic.

The reason I created my thread was to have something like you talk about in your thread concerning the number of stickies. I've linked to all the important threads (at the time) for XBLA/XBLM, the major games, HD-DVD, and any other big news. Like you mentioned though, it hasn't been updated in a while. I definitely realized this, but since I saw no gripes or complaints, I let it slide for a little bit as old news. However, if you wanted an update, you should have just mentioned it in my thread and I would've gladly done it.

I think what we have now is perfectly fine. If you make a master thread, then whoever creates it will have a loooot of work ahead of them if they mean to update it like you and others want it to be. And if you argue that it should be a thread full of links, then what does that accomplish? We have a search bar. if someone wants to know where to find a Halo 3 discussion, then they should search it - not have to look at a thread index or make a thread of their own.

- Aside from that last sentence though, I do enjoy this thread
especially because it makes my next update for the FAQ thread a LOT quicker since I can replace what I already had up with this. Thanks! :lol:

I agree with you that people should use the search function more often(i sure as hell learned it well while making this!) but I orginally wanted to make a database to just browse through random game impressions and see which ones i should rent, in which case the search function doesnt make things easy.

CAG is really the place i go for all my 360 needs and the OPs do such an awesome job with making/updating those threads, this way that work doesnt just fade away after it leaves the front pages. Hopefully it also makes things easier on them to keep their threads updated.
 
I know you made this topic a while ago, but I never gave you my thanks for it!


It's helped me find threads of old games that aren't on the first or second page anymore, like THP8 and such.

Back from my trip :)

updated the list a bit and decided to add a list of all releases for the current month(June in this case). Might expand that to two months but not sure yet.
 
You guys feel the list is still pretty up to date? Ive been busy with school and work so i havent been keeping track as well as i normally do. Just wondering before i try to dig deep and see what i need to add.
 
Can you add brothers in arms: Hells highway please. I'm really psyched about this game but the thread doesnt get a lot of axtion so i would appreciate it if it was indexed.

I did update it! I just didnt finish the updates, because i got real busy with work. Its coming though i promise :)

(kinda hard to catch up and keep up too so sorry with all the fall releases!)
