My Pledge to You: Weekend Before Reminder!

PittsburghAfterDark

CAGiversary!
When November 3rd rolls around come midnight I have a solem pledge to all of my left wing friends here. I will be here to help.

Yes, I know you will all be dispondent. You will be crying, hanging your head in shame, looking for someone to blame and hoping a number of close elections around the country may be legally contested. However nothing looks like it is going to be that close. My left leaning friends, I feel your pain. Your orange hued horse faced jackass from the land of Taxachusetts is going down in a Dukakkian landslide.

Have no fear. PAD is here to help.

The good folks at the Darwin Society have been collecting steel cans that we're recycling into razor blades. We will be shipping out these blades for you to slit your wrists with... free of charge! I know life won't be worth living for many of you but you're also cowards and dread the thought and pain of slitting your own wrists. That being said we've taken up hose donations from True Value, ServiceStar, Home Depot and Lowes in case you just want to start your car and run a hose to the passenger window. For those of you wanting to go out with a bang? Yes, the Darwin Society has taken up donations from Remington and Winchester ammunition as well. Please feel free to PM me the caliber of ammuntion you require.

This may seem very insensitive of me but it ranks the Darwin Society above the People's Republic of China. Why? They'd send your family a bill for the bullet once you were dead. Thanks to years of liberalism our ammunition is a non-profit tax write off! Now ain't dat sumptin'?

This just in!

We've taken up massive painkiller and sleeping pill contributions from several drug companies. Now you also have the option of offing yourself quietly in your sleep.

I'm the one on the left BTW.

Spoken like a true, caring and compassionate Republican. That's really funny, joking about suicide. Maybe if all you conservatives would get comfortable hiding their identities behind an internet message board and saying what they really feel, America could see what is truly in their hearts instead of the phony image they make for themselves on television. That said, I am glad you have this outlet for your feelings, it must be good therapy for you. I understand it would be difficult to say this sort of thing in the real world, because you would get your ass kicked. I feel sorry for you, I really do.

Yeah, this thread and his other new one are starting to remind me of Spriggan awhile back. Maybe we'll luck out and he'll get banned like him.

Party lines or not, that was rather distasteful and unnecessary... even if read with the fact that it was tounge-in-cheek to begin with in mind.

I'm sorry all of you can't handle the fact that many of your bretheren will undoubtedly slipping off into the great fog early November 3rd. But remember the song from M.A.S.H. suicide is painless.

I mean I don't know why any of you think I'm being insensitive. The left takes great joys in abortion at all stages, just think of this as a 80th trimester abortion and I'm here supporting the right to choose.

Oh and quackzilla? The term you were looking for was COLUMBIAN necktie. Columbian necktie. Sorry you missed it but we do have a lovely supply of Rice a Roni, the San Francisco treat, Turtle Wax and the CAG home game for you as parting gifts.

Jesus Christ, can we ban this asshole already? This really goes beyond simply advocating a certain political viewpoint with zealotry.

This board would probably be too boring without PAD's insane extreme far right views.

I bet for PAD's next trick, he'll start a thread of "Yo mama" jokes to determine who is going to take the presidency. Of course, like the polls he has been citing for proof of Bush's "landslide" victory, the number of Republican "Yo mama" jokes considered will not be determined based on the percentage of voters who are actually Republican. It will be arbitrary. Who knows what he'll choose!

Ok, there's ONE.

Jesus Christ, can we ban this asshole already? This really goes beyond simply advocating a certain political viewpoint with zealotry.

99% of the topics made by liberals here are beyond simple advocation of a political view - most of them are nonsensical rants and attacks on anything conservative or republican. So we can ban PAD after we ban all of the liberals first.

Scrubking, when you get your head out of your ass, you'll realize that PAD's trying to promote SUICIDE. Dipshit.

Exactly. I'd be just as bothered by it if it were any of the "liberals" that plague the board that you mention that made those comments.

Of course, what do I know... I watch the Daily Show, so according to Bill O'Reilly, I'm just a stoned slacker anyway.

Me too, but I still can't find out how I got stoned without smoking or drinking anything.

Maybe a college boy Daily Show watcher isn't smart enough to know that/

I am just happy to know in the state of PA, my vote negates yours PAD, even if Kerry doesnt win or if the supreme court gives someone the election, I will rejoice to realize your vote did not count in this state.

i'm not going to advocate banishment of anyone on grounds of their political expression. but while i will not be voting for Bush, i for one would never find humor in a post like PAD's OP. Not that i'm offended (it's very hard to do that); it's just that there are some things that are just not funny to talk about in certain contexts. perhaps volunteering to mail "liberal" (aka non-conservative extremists) CAGs boxes of tissue to cry into would have been a bit more tasteful, and yet would have successfully conveyed the same point. just a thought.

And while i truly hope that you and your bretheren are terribly dissappointed come weds morning, I would never even think to make such a crass and tasteless insinuation as you did in the OP.

BTW, I hope you all realize that no matter which side you're on, we are all likely to be suffering together on the 3rd. with such a tight race and controversy over voting systems on everyone's mind, i'd be willing to bet that unless we see an enormous landslide in the polls, Americans of all stripes will be suffering through more post-election recounts, investigations, and court rulings before we see our next president...

A liberal take on PAD's initial post:

If Kerry wins, would you mind getting in a long line with all your conservative friends?

the assault rifle ban has been lifted, and I need some practice

Why don't you quit all the partisan hackery? No one cares that you are voting for Bush, you have made that point clear on many occasions. Why not try and do something constructive with your time instead, like organizing a rally or passing out bumper stickers to people?

surely you can find some way to be more constructive in your effort to get people to vote for your side

I actually found his post funny. Normally his posts are just stupid, biased or baseless, but this was actually clever. Also, I'm far left to begin with, so while I despise bush and pad generally, I still thought this was funny. It was a joke.

:applause:

I wholeheartedly agree. I think most CAGs who give two flying shits about politics enough to even look in this forum are very clear as to where you stand, PAD. If we are with you, then feel secure about it. But, if we are against you (or don't give a shit one way or the other), know this: your attempts to persuade us to see things your way are not likely to interest us in what you or your kind have to offer. Your macho, cocky, know-it-all, never-wrong attitude is reflective upon the party with which you have chosen to align yourself, and therefore you are only confirming through example many of our (by "our" i mean non-conservative-extremists) thoughts/fears/suspicions regarding your ilk.

as i have said here many times, dissent, disagreement, and civil debate are things i value greatly, and i encourage them anytime (even when i am in the minority). However, PAD's tactics reek of the partisan hackery and propoganda for which i have developed a deep disdain. In short: there are much more productive (and kinder) ways to engage in healthy discourse than those frequently emplyed by PAD on these boards.

agreed, but it *was* a bit tasteless....

PAD will be happier if Kerry wins, I guarantee it. 4 years of whining about every single thing Kerry does (or is said to have done) will give him far more pleasure than simply telling "liberals" why Bush is infallible.

I can see the threads now:

"Kerry rude in the mornings, White House stewards say"

"First Lady Theresa throws away letters from school children, Matt Drudge hears"

"Of course this Kerry idea worked, it's exactly what GWB would have done"

I think that PAD doesn't even like bush, I think he's just a loser on a message board that likes to piss people off. There is always at least one on every message board. I thought CAG was going to be different but I don't think that's the case.
