Coming to Japan in December, Ubisoft bringing it to the US February 2008

No More Heroes is developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and directed by Suda 51, who also helmed the critically acclaimed GameCube adventure title Killer 7. The brutal endeavor pits players as Travis Touchdown, a hardcore anime fan living in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, who takes it upon himself to murder the world's top assassins so that he can be number one. To accomplish this task, Touchdown must battle 10 "bloodthirsty killers -- all with deep stories of their own"

NOM NOM NOM (Playboy spoof)

Yea I have a feeling its going to feel like Zelda in terms of how the game controls, so cruising around on his bike swinging his sword seems only natural.

After watching those two trailers can I get a fucking yes. Anime like fights where you play as a guy with a lightsaber. Oh fucking yes. Now I can't wait for this game.

It looks interesting minus the lightsaber ripoff.

And I'm not one to complain about graphics, but I just can't get into that style or whatever it is they are going for. For example all those guys on the beach were blacked out because the shadow is too heavy on one side while the highlights are almost whiteout. At least make the game so it doesn't hurt my eyes when I look at it.

Johnny is also a Star Wars freak, and happens to purchase a lightsaber on an Internet auction. After that, he starts to make his living as an assassin using this lightsaber.

A lightsaber that's not in a SW game? These guys better expect a call from George's lawyers. lol

I dunno. I really want this game to be good, but I just can't see it getting above a 7.0 from any major reviewer. There's just something about the gameplay that looks unpolished and generic.

The style is spot-on though.

Well, I guess it's up to what you like. If you really care about what reviewers say, Killer 7 got a 77% and 70% for the GC and PS2:

Not sure if you've played/enjoyed it, though.

Exactly what i've been thinking.
I hope i'm wrong, but I have a feeling this will be Wii's own "God Hand".

Knowing the level of Rolento's devotion to this game, and given the countdown's near-finality, I almost want to take a bet on whether or not he'll still be psyched about the game when more information is revealed.
3 or 2 days >_< it's killing me!
I checked the site and it said 4 days? Is it going faster for you!?

Pulling for this one to turn out well; looks really cool.

Hopefully, it's successful and encourages other companies to put out new, original Wii games too.

The site goes by the clock on your computer. I wonder if Rolento has his computer clock set correctly.

The site will open in 2 days and 9 hours from this post if the plan is for Friday right at 12 AM (as in Thursday Night) Japan time.
It seems like I've been waiting for this game forever. What's a few more days for more information?
The real reason why they have the countdown is so that Suda 51 can stand in front of the server for 183 hours straight, just so some of his "coolness" gets absorbed by the website.

That's what Suda said himself. Though like on the Manhunt thread, they are talking about Nintendo's policy and AO games. So, who knows, more than likely then they will have to change a few things, which really blows seeing as how they seem to have gotten the motions on the wiimote done right and didn't feel tacked on (at least from that one review).

"Cartoon" violence isn't the same as "Graphic Violence." The rating boards do recognize the difference between the two, and are more likely to let this one through. Especially since Manhunt is their obvious scapegoat this time around.

you best be right... I don't want a watered down Suda 51 title.
Hmmm.

Didn't Suda say he wanted NMH to be gorier than Manhunt 2?

I guess it could get a Super AO rating?
he might have been talking about Al Gore.
Holy shit! This is coming out in two days?! I had no idea! I was under the impression this was a 2008 title.
nobody said it'd be out in two days... just that there's a countdown probably to the official site.

Oooooh. Damn, now I feel stupid again :(

WHA???? 4 days???? Oh, I see. Just a site countdown.

I thought I had been living under a rock or something for the past few months and had somehow missed out on all the hype leading up to this game.

I can't fucking wait.
