For the OP's purposes, no. Fatal Frame has too much action. Adventure games the OP describes have pretty much a 99% emphasis on story and figuring out if you picked up an item and if you were suppose to use it at a right spot. Old school PC games. Adventure games usually have no "battle system" whatsoever so you can play pretty relaxed and they usually don't require fast reflexes or eye-hand coordination.
schuerm I think you listed them all, as I also tried looking for them as I am a fan of old Sierra and Lucasarts point and click games.
Dreamfall is pretty good, and it's a sequel it a PC game called The Longest Journey. I felt the story was a little too ambitious so it felt like they didn't have time to finish up loose ends in the story. Indigo Prophecy is pretty dark and there are some action sequences, but it's also pretty good. The story kind of becomes stupid in the last third, though. The story is good enough though that you'll want to finish it. Still Life I couldn't finish, the puzzles became too complicated for me. Broken Sword is GREAT. It has the light, fun atmosphere of old PC games, fun story and characters. It makes me want to track down the old PC games to try out (I believe it's the third game in the series, the first game even received a GBA port). Syberia 1 I played, not 2, but I found it too slow paced and uneventful. It has great art design, though and concept, but the pacing is dreadful.
Of the list, I recommend the most Broken Sword, Dreamfall, and Indigo Prophecy in that order. The last two on the list feel rushed at the end so you might not like it.
Thanks. Broken Sword 1 and 2 are both on the PS1 also. Just in case you want to track them down, it might be easier to find for PS1.
