Is my copy of Halo pirated?

I think I have a pirated copy of Halo

My copy has the Warthog on the Left side of the disk, but my friend's copy has the Warthog on the Right side of the disk.

I think one of these copies is pirated because it seems weird that both disks would have different images. And neither has a Greatest Hits logo on it, so I doubt its a reprint.
 
It's not pirated. Some versions had the warthog on the left, others had it on the right. I can't remember which side it was, but one was for the original release, then the other for the GOTY edition.
 
I've had both. Also I've had really bad print quality on the disk and nice and smooth print quality on both versions.

If it was from Gamestop, it might've been a pirated copy. They have pirated copies of GBA games all the time. I've seen a couple of pirated PS1 games before, they really don't check the games that much.

OP, easy way to tell is if there is a Xbox hologram around the inner ring of the disc(label & bottom side).
 
AFAIK there are no pirated XBox games that can be played on a retail unit. GBA games are the exception as the GBA really has no protection, same goes for the DS.

Yea i notice that when buying alot of used games. Some people who work at game stores are just hella lazy most of the time. They will sell you games that dont even work, and when they look at them , the marks on the disc, they will say:

" Oh sir, it will work just fine "

I'm saying to myself, is this dude serious?

I recently sold an unopened version of Halo that was included in the Halo Xbox bundle on Amazon for about $15-20. Go me.
