I don't think this post will violate any rules or anything, but if it does, I apologize and you're free to delete it. Anyways...

I'm new to this whole referral thing, but it sounds good and seems like a lot of people have gotten it to work.

My main question is, how much is my personal information going to be abused? Will I be getting 100 pieces of junk snail mail every day just because I signed up for (insert your favorite referral site here)? Junk email is easy enough to get rid of... if I sign up I'll open up a second email account. But the physical junk mail I don't want to deal with.

Also, is there a master list of referral sites and what they offer, how much information they need, how reliable they are, how fast you get your free stuff, how free it is (versus having to sign up for services), etc.? I was looking at one of the sites... I don't remember which... and it said I would need to fax them my driver's license and I'm just not going to do that.

I do suggest a second email account, and a PrivatePhone # to use with offers, otherwise I haven't seen much if any snail mail ads, though we do get the fair share usually anyway. Some sites might require you to fax them a state-issued ID to confirm you are said person, but a state issued ID would likely also work instead of a drivers license (some places would allow you to black out the DL# for the DL)

Like foladar said a 2nd email address is good. I use a different email for every site and label the email i used for each site. It helps the approval rate I feel. For physical junk mail, unless you do some free trial things or purchase required offers. Then you might end up seeing junk mail from the sites. But I haven't seen anything personally from doing it for 2 months. Just my prizes.
