CAGiversary!
I'm curious how the other users of the referral central section are feeling about this .. I've seen a couple times, a few congas pop up that would be for the same items. Would you feel it best to be "one conga per website" or how would you feel be the best way? If you choose other, please explain in this thread.

This poll will close in 15 days and we will use the results of the poll to help us make an informed decision. Thank you!
Multiple threads, because the people towards the bottom of the conga get shafted.
Then your going to end up with several threads on the same website because people feel XYZ conga is too long, and thus that conga is then shafted, as is the other because people are split between several congas. On top of that, people are going to attempt to make conga threads as a "cover" of sorts, to get around the one thread per user rule .. thats just my opinion on the situation however.

Make sure to vote, the voting is anonymous and your welcomed however not required to post your opinion on the situation though if you did go with other, it'd probably be ideal to voice your opinion.

I think one Conga per site. I scored nice and early on the 360elite4free.com one and got 5 refs out of it. But since then, nothing on any other congas. In my opinion, Congas here on CAG are only benefitting the initial creator and maybe one or two others until they die off.

Just my .02.

Most congas do benefit the creator and first few that signup, however if there were multiple threads per website for congas, you'd probably see it even worse .. I just wanted to address it before it occured, however that didn't appear to happen.

I think one per site. Makes it easy if they are trying to be legit congas. You don't need 42 different "free iphone conga" threads just because people are lazy.

I agree.
Congas one per site. Too many noobs try to make a new Conga on sites that have congas to get referrals and run.

I say that there should be only one person allowed to make congas. He shall make a conga on a site based on the public's vote on what site to do conga for. In this case, a noobie who is out for a few referrals for himself wouldn't be able to trick other CAG members. Someone who is experienced and has time to manage these congas, someone who is legit. Advantages: Noobs won't be able to make congas to grab a quick ref or two. Fully controlled conga by a professional. One conga per site. That's just my 2 cents.

I think there should be an admin that gives permission to run a conga before anyone runs it.

The admin can approve or deny, and he/she can decide whether or not it would be alright to have another conga for that same website conga.

I think that if its possible a conga should be set up by the admin that way we know that it will get rotated and stuff. Because I can't stand when they say the conga will get shifted every 3 days but it never does. Just my idea

i think there should be one *official conga* and then duplicates of the site for people interested in swapping or paying people to do offers. like maybe there can be a sub-section of Refferal Central titled Referral Swaps

So far it looks like people would want one conga per website, and some sort of rule where if the conga isn't active for X days, then lock conga and have another member remake conga to get it going again?

One conga per site, but if only congas are not set at ridiculous referral amounts (especially when considering they die off very quickly these days). If a conga is set at like 2 referrals, or ever 1 referral, it can be moved quickly and give everyone a chance to get at least 1-2 free referrals. If there is a limit at like 5 referrals (as it used to be), that's a total waste for people who subscribe later and only like the top 1-3 will benefit.

If it's set at 1-2 referrals, it could generate a lot of interest and move quite fast. So, a dedicated mod would best serve as administrating the thread.

Multiple congas per site will never work, so let's not even bring that up.

Well, if people can suggest and agree on guidelines .. I'm all ears, however I'm not sure how to handle the things personally.
I think we can all agree to one conga per site, as the poll shows. I'm willing to discuss other things on congas, if anyone has suggestions.

I know mkda suggested a limit on X refs per conga, JustBlaze suggested only certain people being able to start congas, possibly an inactivity rule with congas due to people moving on etc .. I'm all ears.

I think the approval of congas is a bit unneeded, the only time one could be declined (in my opinion) would likely be when a user that has joined recently would want to run one, and likely wouldn't stick around. I don't think there should be two congas for the same site, as does the majority apparently, and I'm not sure if the software would allow approval of just congas.

Yeah, no need to keep bugging the mods requesting a new conga. Just request it in a thread, and after awhile poll the suggestions. The winner gets a conga, and the one who suggest it initially gets top spot?

However, if we do that let's make it 1 suggestion per person at a time. You don't want someone to keep making suggestions for each site out there ;)

I'm also thinking since theres a strict one thread per member, there shouldn't be more than one conga made per member at one time.

I'm still listening to suggestions, anything you think that could be done better here? what would you like to see? Anything special you'd like to see in the "Welcome to.." thread, or anything at all? Listening still! Do feel free to pm if you don't want others to see/know, thats fine too.
