Amazon.ca has .hack//Gu volume 3 Redemption for only $32.99 before shipping and tax. Not quite high enough to get it with free shipping by itself but it's the lowest price you'll find in Canada garentted.

I don't know how they are doing it but I'm not going to ask since I've been shopping from their for a long time and know they are legit.Better not to look a gifthourse in the mouth and all.

It's part of a sale or something I suppose since some other ps2 games had some good prices.

I think I'm going to start pre-ordering my games from Amazon. I've avoided doing so before because I just don't like buying online unless I need to. But damn, both Growlanser and Persona 3 are $50 each from Amazon. It's a waste to pay EB $60 and watch them underorder (which they did with my last Growlanser preorder).
how are the .hack games? Never played one before
The orginal ones are a bit dated but GU rocks. Just when the battle system seems to start getting tiering they add something new that makes it way better.

The story and music are amazing and it's got some of the best voice acting in gaming to boot. It's Defeniftly a great series if you can stomice paying for all 3 parts.
is it like an action rpg or turn based rpg?
It's 100% dungeon-crawling action-RPG (with tons of extras to keep you busy forever). I'm of the opinion that the first series FAR outshines the second one though.

GU's story doesn't interest me much, and that's because the characters - especially the main one - are absolutely unlikable. Haseo is a douchebag, and I hope he dies at the end of the trilogy.

Um it's not 100% dungeon crawling. A good chunk of Gu revolves around the arena battles after all and who can forget the Zone of the Enders style boss battles that makes things a bit less repetive then the standard dungeon crawler.

And You're not supposted to like Haseo much when you first meet him but he really does become much more likeable as the story develops and he starts to mature and Grow up.
That's an american site so it won't be cheaper after converting the money to Canadian and especially after duty when crossing the boarder.
It's a Canadian site (so your orders should be shipped from within the country), and all listed prices are in Canadian dollars.
