Hi everyone! I have a similar thread to this on various other gaming sites... use this to share youre newest additions to your gaming lifestyle/collection! Share opinions/impressions or just gawk at wtf ppl are buying nowadays!

Hey, now this is a thread I like the idea of. Haven't bought any games in a little while though, so even I have nothing to post :cry:

Well, I'm sure that'll change in the coming months.
 
Nothing worth taking pics of, but I've done well in August so far.


--a sealed non-ph copy of MGS:Twin Snakes on Ebay for $50
--a couple sealed copies of MGS:Subsistence for $17.

and my favorites...

--A mint and complete copy of Fatal Frame 3 used at GS that was marked wrong at $24.99, but rang up $29 (they adjusted it to $24)

--a copy of Monopoly/Boggle/Battleship/Whatever for the DS used, mint and complete, at GS for $26, i think

--Tomorrow I'm picking up a black DS lite with Final Fantasy 3 and Castlevania:DoS for $90.

Just :gba: TMNT so far... Metroid Prime 3 was ordered a few minutes ago assuming Target honors their misprint. That's all for August.
 
Cave Story on the PSP? is that a commercial release? awesome.

[edit] I bought smacktalk for 5.18 from CC... [oh god I have sinned!] before I knew about the situation with Speedy.. I wanted to try and make it work with a standard headset for the ps3... I wanna smack talk there too.
 
I was hoping that cave story PSP port was getting somewhere! Downloading IMMEDIATELY.

Maybe I'll have pics later for you folks.

Edit: Is cave story suppossed to only be 1.5mb? The PC version I have was around 20-30MB?

Pictures are lame.

Thus far I've only picked up Tales of the World for PSP and Megaman StarForce Leo for DS. My birthday is on the 26 tho, so I'm sure I'll have more to post later.
 
Triple OG son! I actually got these last month, but hey.. why not post it here anyways. ;)

Brand spankin' new batteries for each cart, so they are good to go for 4-5 more years, but I'm sure someone will have a "suicide fix" soon.





Also got some new Sanwa push-buttons, ball tops and Joysticks... time to Pimp-My-Control panel!!!

I mite buy a Gamecube memory card and Soul calibur II for the Gamecube so I can use my Wii as a Gamecube.

I was able to get a cope of these PSP shmups for $20 a piece when august began, chillin on my work table rite by ~$3 in quarters for the arcade.



I also finally moved up in life! I got a LCD monitor for ~$150 after using the same CRT since 2002!

I finished my Sonic collection. I now own every single Sonic game released in the USA from Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Master System to the Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii.

I bought a Kirby stuffed animal and history of Zelda t-shirt from the Nintendo Store in NYC.

I paid off BioShock Limited Edition for PC and 360, Blue Dragon for 360, Strangehold CE for 360, Brain Age 2 for DS, Metroid Prime 3 for Wii, and I bought my sister's a 360 Pro for the upcoming Halo 3 (they play)

I also bought Hot Fuzz on HD-DVD, 300 on Blu-Ray, and The Last Dragon ('KISS MY CONVERSE") on DVD.

I got bored and decided to buy a 1992 Mercury Capri XR2 as a beater car for college and work as well.

A friend of mine had a sealed Metroid Prime bobblehead from the first release. I took that.

I also got Vagrant Story for PS1 orginal black label mint for free.

So far, it's been a pretty stellar month.

I bought that at Wizard World Chicago last week from a place called J1 Toys, they specialize in Japanese toys, blind box stuff, and capsule figures. I had gone to their store in the Chicago area back in February and gotten a really big Mario figure from that same line. Apparently the Mario was first in the line, then KK, and the guy said Yoshi should be coming next. When I was there in Feb I also bought a fire flower Mario figure that goes along the same line with the Goomba there, and a Tom Nook plushie. The J1 guys are great, and even though I only seen the owner twice, as soon as I walked up he said "KK is back there" and pointed him out to me.

I also picked this up at Wizard World Chicago. They had someone dress up in a Parappa suit and take pictures, and they were giving out a bunch of free stuff. We missed it on Saturday so we came back first thing Sunday morning and the guy gave us those shirts and beanies. We also got Parappa PSP skins which I had forgotten to take pics of.
 
good lord that's a lot of rpgs.

There's enough gaming time there to last a year.

Reminds me of when I was collecting PSOne games.

I did go a bit out of control with the credit accumulated with $5 harvest moons and other clearance goodies at Best Buy. Dogma and Punch Drunk Love were $10 each and came with superbad tickets. With_Teeth is my favored album, but they're both pretty awesome.
Bard's Tale was $10 at a local place, I had to get it after hearing a guy from black isle worked on it.
Vexx and Fire Emblem were because they were cheap and I thought I'd buy them before their price doubles like the rest of the GameCube stock at GameStop.
As for FFX-2.. I've got no excuse. I want to play it after I finish FFX, since I've never played it at all. Expecting dissapointment.

More EB cheapass credit goodness, except Metroid Prime Pinball which was $5 at Best Buy and The Metal Gear guide was $2 at a local shop.

Also not pictured (actually it's in the With_Teeth case for protection) is the $5 disc only Deus Ex on PS2 I'm really really enjoying.
