Thinking about seeing it tonight. Metacritic shows reviews as kind of a love it or hate it at 49/100. It looks good to me. Anyone seen it yet?

movies that get delayed for months before going into theaters because of changes usually bomb at the box office. The whole shuttle breaking up in the atmosphere isn't a good idea as it gives us a look of what happened to the real shuttle crew that died in the atmosphere a few years ago.

yeah its on the news all the time man. theyre always going on and on about border control and how we need to really crack down on it. no seriously i read somewhere the film was a remake of the invasion of the bodysnatchers or something and the reviews havent been too kind. man nicole kidman has been in some shit films lately.

Actually it's the 3rd or 4th remake, and hell it was redone from last year because the studio sucks.

I wouldn't pay to see it, and I too hope we see the real cut someday. It was supposed to be good and deal with post 9-11 and Iraq.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? Your sentence doesn't make sense. If I were to take your post at face value and try to interpret it, all I could get from it is that you're upset that they're using the shuttle as a plot device. If that's the case, if that's what you're trying to say while your hands fumble with your keyboard as your brain struggles to comprehend the English language, then you need to seriously quit being such a pussy. The shuttle exploded. The astronauts are dead. I'm pretty sure that they were aware of such possibility when they first because astronauts. They're going into fucking space, for god's sake. Do you have any idea how risky that is? It's not like getting on a fucking bike.

fuck me, do you cry every time you see a picture of the World Trade Center?

You're probably the same person who has one of those fucked up ribbon-stickers, "Support our troops," on the back of his car. You've probably got it on there sideways like a Jesus fish, because the text goes up the ribbon and not across it. It's not a Jesus fish, jackass. It's a ribbon. Curved part on top, pointy part on bottom.

I have no idea how a simple question like, "Is The Invasion any good?" turned out to be a jumping off point for political ideologies and stupid jackasses complaining about the shuttle scene.

You'd better stay away from The Andromeda Strain. You might get offended that a satellite crashes to Earth. Poor satellite. It was so young.

I'm not sure it's possible to overreact more than this.

man you really need to take your meds...

If you have seen the trailers and tv spots, you will see that a shuttle breaks up on re-entry...yet only 4 years ago the same thing happens. My main point in the reply is that if you look at the history of this film and the history of films that have been delayed over the years...then you will see they often bomb. Now there are a few films that have been delayed but managed to be mega successful (hate to say it , *cough* Titanic *cough*)..but "Invasion" won't be successful. It might recover it's production costs but that's it. Don't count on it beating out Transformers I can tell you that.

You really need to chill out, it's just a fucking movie.
I think its interesting that Daniel Craig is the male lead of that movie and they dont show him in the previews once.
They did. Once or twice, not sure.

Well I saw it last night and it sucks. So there you go.

What makes it sucky?
Hoo boy, a medication insult. You must be no older than fifteen.
Nope, he actually TEACHES FIFTEEN YEAR OLDS. Our young generation is doomed.

Also, Daniel Craig is awesome. Casino Royale did very well, so I wonder why they're basically hiding him starring in this movie by barely showing him in the previews? Especially since this movie supposedly blows.

Before Casino Royale came out, I had serious reservations about Craig as the new Bond and the whole reboot.. Brosman (sp?) was Bond, period. No one can replace him... Craig did a bang up job as Bond. He looks kinda old, but his acting was very good.

I was hoping to see how well he did with this movie, but so far the reviews are not so good.... I dunno, but I am just waiting another four weeks til RE3 hits theaters :|
