Anyone know of any stores in Baltimore that still carry Game Boy games?
Yes, they all should still have classic GB stuff, but you might have to ask...some stores keep them in a bag under the counter--they usually have the best stuff too.

Some of those prices have been solid for a while...I bought several copies of Pokemon Red & Blue for $2.99 each during the last B2G1 sale.

Are Pokemon Red/Blue 2.99 in stores? They're 9.99 online...

My local Gamestops seem to mix all the GB games with the GBA / DS section, they all seem to have this standalone case that was built for GB games, one side for GBA carts, and the other side has larger shelfs for old GB carts, etc.

Also, isnt there this thing about battery life and save files with old GB games or something like that?

Link927, remember that the online site will never update the GB/GBC games for availability nor will they update the prices. So everything is actually LOWER than what the site presents. And the last two GB Mega Man games aren't actually $35 to $40. :p

1) Online prices are usually higher, especially with classic GB games

2) Yes, if there is no saved game the battery is probably dead. If you go to the first save spot in the game, create a save, then restart the machine and try to load the file you'll find out for sure. Obviously you can return them and ask for a refund. Most Pokemons have good batterys, except for Crystal, beware of dead batterys for Crystal. I think they might just be bootlegs and I can't tell the difference...I think all bootlegs have no save file at all, including all Pokemon.

Actually, it was Gold, Silver AND Crystal that had the crap battery lives of the Pokemon games. My Red version STILL has its save file from nine years ago.

I grabbed a 99 cent GameBoy Camera while back. It doesn't do me much good, though on the SP. I have to break out the old GameBoy Color to mess with it.
anyone know the price of the Pokemon Trading Card game for the GB?
I saw it today. I can't remember the exact price but it was cheap. Something like 3 or 4 bucks.

Would you sell me that Dragon Warrior 3, hansolox1? I'd pay enough to cover shipping as well as give you some extra money (name your price). PM if you're interested.

That's a great game. 3 or 4 bucks is a steal.

Found a couple at one of my GS stores

Zelda: Links Awakening DX was 9.99 not 2.99 (8.99 after edge - got it anyway)
Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons was 4.49 after edge
Zelda: Oracle Of Ages was 8.99 after edge

I am looking for Elevtor Action (not sure if it is orig GB or what). I have a few GB games to trade, including orig Donkey Kong, Mario Golf for GBC and Mario Tennis for GBC. Might also be interested in getting DK Land (any version) for those if you find it at GS also. PM because I have other stuff to trade (and can check my GS again for ones you want).

Thanks,
Dane

The guy at the register said, "no, we don't have Link to the past(which I want badly), but we do have Link's Awakening for the Original Gameboy, not the GX version". And yes it was 2.99. But guess what, it was covered in black goo. When I got home, just took a moist wipe and it looked like new. But how can they make Link to the past 17.99?

$1.99 I think.

I almost bought it for my sister, but I know she wouldn't get how to play it.

Last time I checked the prices were marked about the same on the website as they are at our store, there are still plenty of 19.99 GBC games sitting in the case at our gamestop. Is this something that varies from store to store, or is it like kmart/sears where the stores never tag the items right but they come in the register at the current price? If so its gonna be awful hard to get them to take all those games out of the case to scan them to figure out the real prices of the games.

I've got to think the stores don't update the prices, probably due to the low demand of the old GB/C games. The GS prices should be universal.

I picked up Oracle of Seasons and Metroid 2 for $4.99 each on Super Metroid Monday. Also got Kirby's Pinball Land for $4.99. I've been looking for OoS for cheap forever.

...Because it's a GBA game, maybe? :whistle2:s

Yeah, what's with everyone confusing Link's Awakening and the Oracles games with A Link to the Past? o_O;

Link's Awakening = GB
Link's Awakening DX = GB/GBC
Oracle of Seasons = GBC
Oracle of Ages = GBC
Link to the Past = SNES/GBA

This.

Yeah, Lufia is marked $24.99 on the site and Dragon Warrior I&II is marked $29.99(!!).

Again, the site's prices are never going to be updated. Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, for the Game Boy Color, is listed as being $24.99 on the site. I paid maybe about close to $5 for it (can't recall nor can I find my receipt). I know it certainly wasn't above even $10.

Link's Awakening is 2.99, DX is 9.99

Pokemon TCG is 1.99, Pokemon Red, Blue, Puzzle and Pinball are 2.99, the other Pokemon are 9.99 or up.

Another couple of good ones are Metal Gear Solid GBC and Resident Evil Gaiden for 4.99 ea

Dave

Donkey Kong ('94) is $2.99, which is totally a steal for anyone who likes DK or any of the Mario vs DK games.

Also saw Kirby's Dreamland for $4.99, but didn't feel it was worth it.

Mega Man II was indeed $4.99. Also picked up Game & Watch Gallery, which was $1.99. :)

Gonna look out for the other Mega Man games as well as Donkey Kong. Apparently a store by me (not the one I just got back from) has some in stock.
I'd never buy a GB/A game used. More power to you if you can.
Ahh yes, you know you're right, I'll just go down to Best Buy and grab a new copy of Pokemon Red.

I'm pretty sure I've still got a dragon warrior III sealed. Man I loved those ages/seasons zelda games - these are some great prices.
Ahh yes, you know you're right, I'll just go down to Best Buy and grab a new copy of Pokemon Red.
While you're at it, grab me a non-Player's Choice Super Mario Land.

But yeah, why the hell wouldn't anyone buy dirt cheap GB games?

They're basically just dropping the prices on these for the sake of getting rid of them.

Anyone got any word on the price of Pokémon Silver?

Metroid II is cheap! If you could find the box that would be amazing, I payed about $20 for mine sadly. Oh well, now I have all of the Metroid games

Woo! I'm not the only one still playing classic GB/GBC games! :D

Game stores here in Japan usually have a wall/bin full of old GB/GBC games for under 1000 yen (less than $9) and I've found pleny of gems I wanted to import years ago.

Namely Mario Picross 2, some SNK fighters, and a Nintendo Power Download Service cart (With Link's Awakening DX on it!)! :D :D

I am gonna have to look into this via the store locator, especially with that 10% coupon floating around, most of the locations near me still have a bunch of old GB/GBC games, and one has a large case full of them!

Ok, I have another question. There is a store near me that supposedly has some dreamcast VMU's and controllers in stock. This is a major mall location that I have been in many times and have not seen the merchandise on the floor, but the store locator lists the VMU's as 4+ in stock, and same for the controllers I think. Where in the store do you think they keep this merchandise, perhaps in the cases behind the register with the memory cards and other things? I would really like some VMU's and dreamcast controllers. If I were to ask for this stuff in the store citing the store locator information (maybe bring a printout of it), what kind of reaction would I get? BTW these have been listed on the store locator for months on end, so they must be in the store somewhere.

They should be in their little ziplock bags with that red/yellow cardboard sheet stapled to the top, probably near the registers. If not, they're probably in the back.

I think you should just call up before you go and tell them that you see dreamcast accessories in stock at their store online stock counter, and ask if they still stock them or if their inventory is old. This is a case where a GS employee probably wont try to stash it for themselves.

Well like always I just plan on checking while I am in the area, I am not going to make a specific trip out to a gamestop to buy these things. Of course I would just calmly explain that I collect for old systems and then ask them. Calling would void my chance of ever getting any of these as the employees could still stash it, many collect for old systems, and I wouldn't want to risk it. One of my gamestops even lists a dreamcast fishing controller in stock!

Any word on the price for mega man 5 gb, I am seeing a copy of it in a gamestop close by, listed at 44.99 on the website.

The only pokemon game I have had problems with was pokemon gold, if your willing to solder a new battery into these games they work fine after thats done. Of course I just send mind to a friend to get that done, he does it for the cost of batteries and shipping, gameboy games are cheap and easy to ship.

Mega Man V is still high - I think 14.99. Mega Man II is the cheap one

Metroid II is 4.99

Pokemon Silver, Gold, Yellow and Crystal didnt drop. Red, Blue, Puzzle, TCG, Pinball are the cheap ones
