i wasted 40 minutes of my life trying to preorder halo 3 at cc today, and use the 15off100 coupon. the guy said the coupon would work, but of course when they put in the upc for the legendary edition it wouldnt come up.
 
Does anyone know if the Halo Clix figures will be worth waiting until 8 am for Halo or should I just go to Gamestop/GC/Wal-Mart?
 
Just to let you guys know, the 1600 points deal at Best Buy does NOT work with the Legendary Edition of the game. You actually get NO deals for ordering the $130 version and you are not even guaranteed to be able to pick it up on launch day.
 
It's worth pointing out that the first two deals linked for the BB offers DO stack. So you can pre-order Halo 3, add an accessory over $29.99 (Xbox live cards and marketpoints count as accessories), get the free $10 gift card, and also get the 1600 points for $4.99 all in the same shopping cart.
 
Is there any word on LAUNCH DAY seals whatsoever? Becuase it's all been pretty much known.

I've been waiting on any news on them, if not guess I'll have to go to my local BB midnight Launch

Costco has a good price if you pre-order. You don't get anything free, and they don't open at midnight though.

But the prices are lower than MSRP by a bit.

Best Buy has a Halo3/360 deal.

Buy a Samsung DLP and a 360 and Halo 3 and get $410 off instantly. Basically, a free 360 Premium and Halo 3 with the purchase of a TV. Excellent deal. Also, you can get a premium or other 360 and pay the difference. If I only needed a TV now.

since i pre-ordered from CC and honestly dont want to wait in line at midnight to buy a guide. but if i could walk in the next day, i'd do it.

Who here knows anything about the Circuit City freebies/giveaways? I'm either for CC or BB. If CC has freebies and prizes, I'll go with them because of the poster. If not, then I'll play my chance at a halo chair at Best Buy.

You have to add an accessory. Points and Xbox live cards count. I added a 13 month Halo 3 Xbox Live card.
 
Appreciate the thread, but I'm wondering if there's going to be something simple like a B&M selling it for $10 less like Bioshock.

CC was selling Bioshock for just $49.99 and you got a PM at BB easily.

Anyone expecting something similar for Halo 3?

Game Crazy near me is giving away a free Halo Xbox 360 System for the midnight launch. I'll have to call and see if this raffle is for preorder people only.
 
Sweet! I wasn't expecting the BB near me to be one of the ones having the party, I thought only places like King of Prussia would do that. I'll definately be going if BB.com lets me switch my online order to in-store.

Probly not since I did the Legendary (when it was only 99.99).
 
The only other game I can think of that had a Heroclix associated with the preorder was Mechassault and those ended up being exclusive to the preorder. If you plan on playing the Halo Heroclix game, I'd say yes, it'd be worth waiting for rather than getting into a bidding war on ebay for them.
 
You should add FamilyVideos to the list. Via the other post somewhere. it's 49.99 for Regular Edition and 59.99 for Collectors. Which is the best price around that I've seen. Also JR has it online for pre-order with a free T-shirt Bonus.

Nope, even if they don't need to add incentives, oddly, it seems almost every retailer is offering something to buy from them instead of a competitor.

according to the site, the ones you get w/ preorder at target will be exclusive. (aka, not for sale individually). but they said there are over 90 kinds, so theres not going to be any shortage of variety.

They are also giving 30% off any used game with purchase of the Halo 3 guide. They are also bringing back the extra $50 for a system for the midnight launch. PS2's will trade in at $100 for the slim, $80 for the fat boy, and XBoxes will trade in at $80.

I've heard that some Walmarts are doing Halo 3 tournaments from 9 to midnight with the winner getting a Legendary Edition. Is this true, and if so, does anyone know of any in the Dayton, OH area doing this?
 
so family video seems to be the cheapest option at $45.98 after $5 coupon and 99 cent shipping. i'll probably order from them but go to BB for the prizes and midnight craze, buy a couple movies or the 1st two halos, then go home and wait a couple days for my order to arrive. ive never played the 1st two so im in no rush.
 
I guess Game Crazy is doing some "Text to Win" if you come in on Sept 24 or Sept 25, so I don't think they are giving out the Halo 360 at the midnight release.

Yes, but in the previous case (mechassault) the exclusive figure was particularly good, rather equivalent to a rare figure from the booster packs.
 
Don't know if trade in value's would count as 'deals', but since it wasn't posted.

EB Games/Gamestop is having a 20% extra trade in credit for Halo 3 either preordering or purchasing. So 30% all togeather I'm assuming if the extra means stacked with the Edge Card.

Not sure if every GC is doing this, but mine is having a 2v2 Halo 2 Tournament (that is a 10 buck entry fee), and the manager and his underlings told me, that the team of two that wins will each get a copy of Halo 3, and if, and this is a big if, there's enough people that they will give the winners a Halo 360.

EDIT: I actually called my local GS, and asked about the trade in credit, it is now 40% (stacked with edge card) and if any of the credit goes over the amount (whether it be 60, 70 or 120) you can still keep that credit in its 40% glory on your Edge Card.
 
Can someone show where it says that Gamecrazy is giving an extra $50 for old xboxes. I've got 2 laying around, one Halo version and one original. Think I'll trade the original, and see what the Halo ones are going for on Ebay.
 
Scorch is a GC manager. If he says it, it's usually 100% correct unless they change it on him to be a regional only thing instead of nationwide.

I found out on the Halo Clix website the figures given with Halo 3 are super rares from the booster bricks, but it's not worth my time I don't think, especially since the market will be flooded with them 1 week after release because any remaining figures go to the employees before they're destroyed.

I switched my pre-order to GC because they are having a tournament and giving away 15 Legendary Halo 3's and 1 Halo 360.
 
i preordered halo 3 from BB.com back in may for store pick up...i already picked up the MS points . does that mean that the game will be ready for pick up on sept 25th or it will be shipped ?

The manager at the store I go to said that they are getting a small amount of signed Legendary editions, and that is what is being used as prizes.
