They had better find something fantastic to replace it if they're taking it out. It'd better be like a sword wielding ninja super soldier.

Looks like a lot of emphasis is being put on the Immortal with this. The Zealot was the traditional anti-tank unit for Protoss, but this would definitely limit their ability to fight tanks. Which, y'know, works for me - Immortals look awesome.

Well there is always air to fall back on to kill the tanks.

I'm wondering how strong the close range attack will be. Maybe it is only strong enough to kill a single ling or Zealot and not a small group. That would actually be pretty handy, since I cannot count the number of times I have had to unseige a tank because a lone Zergling got into it's no-kill zone.

True, but it's always nice to have terrestrial means of fighting tanks.

You speak of "a single ling or Zealot" as though the two were equal. This sin shall not go unpunished.

That would actually be pretty handy, since I cannot count the number of times I have had to unseige a tank because a lone Zergling got into it's no-kill zone.

And the new "Charge" ability of the Zealot would kick some serious fucking ass against the old model of tanks, too. Especially if there were spider mines around. Zealot Bomb!

A few things that need to be brought up:

The first of what I assume to be many Starcraft 2 biographies. -Jim Raynor-
http://www.starcraft...roes/raynor.xml
I personally don't like how different Jim looks, but whatever.

And here is the latest Starcraft 2 Q&A.

Q&A Batch 29: http://www.battle.ne...al&T=428054&P=1

I am very interested in the idea of putting a medic inside of a bunker.... the possibilities!

/also: 3 posts in a row, tic tac toe
//also: We can't let the RA 3 topic become more popular than the SC2 topic, that would just be wrong.

I promise you guys to update this shit tonight.

The only problem is that I can't really listen to their podcasts due to my 56k. Does anything important happen in those?

So far nothing too important has been said in the podcast that hasn't been in the Q&A's.

Added things like the Marauder and Nullifer, details about the High Templar, Ghost, Thor (whose purpose seems to change every other day - it was actually a glorified Goliath for a while there), Medic, etc.

Anything I should add/link to? I'm always worried about the OP getting cluttered and hard to read, but I also want to add more detail.

Who would you kill to get your hands on the current build?

I'd start by sacrificing you to Q'Holeth, God of the Blackened Skies, for never joining us in our fucking games. "Don't like rushing" my ass.

 I really don't like the default multiplayer component. UMS is where all my fun comes from.

Just added the bit about Siege Tanks having close-range defenses and Motherships having the Arbiter's cloaking field.

I'm not happy about either.

EDIT: Added the bit about the idle worker button, which more than compensates for the above two things. And really, I think they had to buff the Siege Tanks to counter the new Zealot ability and the addition of the Immortals.

Oh, yes.

New update.

Terran Ghosts are huge imba. Overpowered like nothing fucking else.

We gots a new update, folks. Nullifiers get the High Templar's "Levitation" spell, Terrans get a new old look, and... well, that's about all the new stuff. But there are screenshots! Look! Is that a Zealot with his swords away? I think it is! Tanks look awesome, too. It also appears that the Immortal shield must be researched, as none of the Immortals in the picture have shields deployed.

I love the neon "BAR" sign on that Terran barracks (?).

That's the Mercenary Haven. Need it to recruit the jetpack-havin' Reapers.

Ahhhh, that makes sense.

Doesn't AoE III also have a seedy/tough looking structure that recruits mercenary units?

In any event, I'm glad Blizz is returning to the run 'n gun style RTS. For many years I half expected SCII to be in the hero-centric WCIII style.

Zerg stuff's up. And very, very disturbing. The Blizzard forums are all in a tizzy about how ugly the new Infester unit is.
