Got Dreamcast?

SS4Brolly

CAGiversary!
If so, around how many games do you have?

I got around 50  games for it. Half of them are backups though.

My ports fried or something during College. Sega has a bad reputation with me for having systems crap out quickly. Sega CD bombed as I sold it shortly after I purchased it. My Saturn died during a thunderstorm even with a surge protector. My Gamegears sound just went out last month.

The best and most durable system imho is the Sega Genesis. It's the only system that still lasts with me from Sega. Course my NES works like new with a pin connector, and I haven't heard much problems with the N64 or SNES.

I may be getting a DC again sometime just to play Shenmue 1, Street Fighter 3 and the first Soul Calibur, but I doubt it.

I got a Dreamcast right after they announced they were discontinuing it. Too bad it didn't ever get to go head-to-head with PS2. Jet Grind Radio is one of the best games ever made.

not one of the controllers I ever used on that machine took into consideration the physical mechanics of the human hand -- NOT ONE!

The closest that any of them ever came was a Pelican prepackaged with Echo the Dolphin-- and that broke down after a few months of use because the joystick no longer recognized "left"

If I took apart all the dreamcast Controller makes I own, and rebuilt them into one controller -- it would be one bad ass controller ,because most of them got at least one thing right, but who wants to do all that work?

I just ordered a Joybox adapter, so I can use my PS/2 and Saturn controllers on my dream cast-- finally going to get some quality pain-free time out of my prematurely buried Sega friend :)

First off I'd like to state fist off IMHO that soul calibur is the best fighting game on any system to date. The Dreamcast was the first console to grace 128 mb graphics. With the DC came Soul Calibur, NFL 2K which acually got me back into football after dealing with a dismal madden99 on the N64, it was the best football game I played up until then, Dead or Alive 2 was another one of my favorite fighting games with stunning graphics and the ability to reveal another insite on videogames that you never thought possible. I enjoyed Shenmue very much and I even went as far as getting a boot disc and the Import just to play the sequel, I later found the xbox version of the same game for only 10 dollars courtesy of web sites like this. Above that the DC ebraced titles like Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia which I both enjoyed very much.

I have like 16 games, 3 copied. Well, 18 if you count 2 defective copies of Shenmue II, but now that I have Xbox...

I have a bunch of great DC games: JSR, Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, Seaman...

I had Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but I sold it...

I have a launch Dreamcast and 23 original games, all the ODCM discs, and most of the accessories: mouse, keyboard, light gun, microphone, jump packs, vmus, etc...

Alas, RIP, Dreamcast...your life was short, but sweet.

I also have a Dreamcast from day one, 9/9/99! I have over 60 original games that I bought all brand new. 6 VMU's including the 4X VMU, 2 controllers, 2 jump packs, 1 fishing controller, 1 keyboard and 1 microphone that are all official Sega accessories. I also have 2 Ascii Fighter FT pads that are the Capcom VS. SNK versions that came with the trading cards! I still need to get about 50 more games, the official mouse and 2 more controllers to complete my Dreamcast collection...

Oops, I almost forgot I need to get 2 of those X-Arcade sticks. I wonder why there's no Sega Saturn adaptor for the X-Arcade? The Saturn like the Dreamcast are "fighting game systems"...
^ I love Skies. Save file got deleted though :(
That sucks. I just got all the crew members today. :D

Yup, got the DC...Have about 50 games or so...a good system that is underrated by most but overrated by some...Lots of very good games, but not enough great AAA games IMO. Sega was one step ahead of the competition once again and two steps ahead of the public, which is why they once again failed from a sales point of view.

Looks like about 38. There may be a couple of others, but I don't feel like digging through my collection right now.

I have about 25 games. All legit and a couple of imports. Bunch of ODCM discs, Keyboard, mouse, 4 controllers, slew of VMU's, Gameshark ( used as bootdisc only). Great system. I really miss it. I'm working on getting an adapter so I can use my new MAS stick on it. Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Soul Calibur mmmm.....

One thing though. Can someone tell me why Sonic Adventure 2 and Virtua Tennis 2 is still so damn expensive. Both are still like $30 bucks around where I live.

I have a dc and about 33 legit games. You can get Tennis 2K2 for 9.99 factory sealed on ebay, and sonic adventure 2 usually runs for $19-23 on ebay.

I have a launch dreamcast and about 110 original games (no copies). I also have the fishing rod controller, mouse, keyboard, gun, 5 normal vmus, 2 4x vmus (sega brand) and a steering wheel

I've got 3 DCs, one new and two used spares (for $20 each, why not?). I've also got 83 original games, but I'm still lacking in the RPG area.

Someone mentioned their controller ports frying or something. I just thought I would mention that gamefaqs has an article on how to repair the most common cause of Dreamcast Ports frying. If I remember correcly, you just have to replace a 5 ohm resistor.

All I got to say is that the Sega Dreamcast is probably the best system and the SNES is a close second. How I miss a Sega made system

I still have my Dreamcast after I had to go about having three of them in the span of 2 years because my house kept getting robbed by crack heads.

The games I had were never stolen thank goodness.

Here are the ones I have: :D

Heh, my Dreamcast is my only Sega made console, with the only other Sega made thing a Game Gear. I miss the DC, it kicked ass.

Here's a (mostly) complete listing of the games I own for it (and other stuff). http://users.ign.com/collection/Skullbrand
My computer game listing on that is pretty spotty though, got games spread out in two different rooms.

Yeah, I have a dc and 33 games. There's 13 more titles for it that I want and then my collection will be "complete".

I had one til I let someone borrow it.Then the SoB moved. He's still one of the peds i releive my stress on in GTA.I got mine when i heard they were closeing up shop.Only had THPS 2{I think 2 or 3 one} for it tho.

Got one since Day 1 and am a very proud owner. I own about 90 Dreamcast games, all legit, including about 15 imports that never made it to the US (including Border Down LE, suckas!) :p

I have one, but only two games. i feel so un-gamer. i only bought the system after it died. i was weaned on genesis. i was so sad to see them die. maybe if i paid it more attention, or fed it more often, it would have had a longer life.
My Gamegears sound just went out last month.
DUDE MINE DID TOO! Like, the speaker doesn't work at all, and if you put headphones in, you can just barely make anything out. Weird

I have one and about 50+ games. I still play it sometimes but I really miss the old days of playing PSO online with other people.

Is anyone on here willing to sell, or trade for a copy of Record of Lodoss War.

I have wanted to play this game for a long time.

Let me know.

Thanks.

I have two. Bought one at launch and got another brand new system with games and vmu at a price so low that I might as well have stolen it.

It was a pretty good system but I don't exactly miss it or anything.

Damn, Dreamcast has got to be one of the best systems ever! But PS2 came out almost right after it making it go under. That sucks. The graphics for it are compariable to Gamecube! Plus it has some of the best games as well.

Oh yea, i got about 60 games for my dreamcast. No joke. I look around in those cheap 1.99 bins

I copped my dreamcast while it was still just a rental. Hollywood video please forgive me. It doesn't even have the modem. need more games though. I would like to find out how to get them cheaper than cheap. PM me.

I got one at launch, one when they dropped to $50 which is still in the box as a backup, and my girlfriend picked up one to keep upstairs to play emulators on. I have about 120 games, all legit, and a few imports, including Rez, and a bunch of emulators and homebrew stuff like doom and Quake. I also have most of the accessories including the sterring wheel, two arcade sticks, fishing controler, two keyboards and a mouse, but I still need a gun. This may be my favorite system ever.

I got it just before it was discontinued :( . Off hand I only have 7 games but it think i have more. I use it to play classic Arcade games mostly.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2
House of the Dead 2 (with the light gun its awesome)
Shenmue
Jet Grind Radio
World Series Baseball 2k2
Phanasy Star Online

It's the only console I've ever pre-ordered, they should all be $200 at launch. I have over 50 legit games, all the ODCM discs, four controllers/vmus/jump packs, keyboard, mouse, fishing controller, and sega brand MARACAS that I got new for $10! ;)

Yeah dreamcast is the shizat. Just sucks that so much of that crap (including the consoles themselves) breaks so often and that there are "dud" games that never work. Great system though. Tons of underrated games.

yea I have had problems with SFA3. I got one and it did not work, got another and it does not work either. Maybe next time I will ask for a different game

I have 2 Dreamcasts with 76 games (mainly backups). I also have 5 controllers, a mouse, a fishing rod, and the official VGA monitor adapter.

These are my second and third systems. I used to have the Black Sega Sports system (wish I still had it) with a BBA, VGA adaptor, mouse, keyboard, and about 30 games (all legit by the way.)

Got a Japanese DC at the Japanese launch, modded to play US games. Got a Japanese limited edition X-mas Seaman DC #000/850. Got 122 DC games, every single one an original. It's my favorite system so far. I really love Xbox, and XBL, but the DC was the system that really, *really* got me into console gaming.

In terms of the hardware I've got for the DC:

Japanese Mod DC
Japanese X-Mas Seaman DC Kit, limited edition number 000/850
2 4X VMUs
6 VMUs
1 Japanese Lightgun
1 Fishing Controller
2 Agetec Arcade Sticks
2 Broadband Adapters
6 Sega controllers
2 Maracas Controllers
2 keyboards
2 mice

I mean, in terms of hardware you could plug into this thing, it was just crazy. Crazy fun, that is. Ha! I wish there were more lightgun games, but Confidential Mission and HOTD2, as well as the lightgun mode in Demolition Racer were all a ton of fun.

i still have my DC and Saturn... for my DC i have about 50+ games, couple imports. for Saturn, about 30+ games.

both great systems that i enjoy very much.
