hi i just got my GC back from my friend after four months or so.
i alreay own
1) SSBM
2) Mario Kart DD
3) Windwaker
and already played RE:4

i like rpgs and action adventure games
i already want
Zelda: TP, Mario Sunshine, Metroid 1&2
but what else is there?
and also where should i buy them with BF coming up and all...

Not that I think you'll actually get any of these after your Wii topic, but some great Gamecube games beside what you listed:
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
Eternal Darkness
Rogue Squadron
Chibi Robo
Viewtiful Joe

Goozex is the place to pick up a lot of these titles. Most retail stores aren't carrying anything but newer Gamecube titles, if any, and Gamestop is selling these unreasonably high because of the Wii's backwards compatibility

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Beyond Good & Evil
Pikmin 1 & 2

heres my gc game list and ive only got a few more to go before im done. unless i get into imports which i doubt i will.......

Metroid Prime 2 Echos
Eternal darkness Sanity’s Requiem
The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition
The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
Spider-Man

you can find good cheap gamecube games at a few places like wherehouse.com( used games that come complete and in excellent condition) here in the cag trading forum and ive found some good deals at ebgames and gamestop.

most of nintendos exclusive stuff is definetly a must have. most fo that stuff has crazy replay value and luckily is really easy to find at pretty decent prices. the stuff thats gonna cost you alot are those 2 zelda bonus disks, jedi knight 2, mario tennis, resident evil 2 and 3) but i dont think re 2 and 3 are worht getting for the gamecube at such ricidulous prices when you can get them on the ps1 for cheap. i wish someone could tell me what import gc games are worth getting. damn zoids games keep popping up but i couldnt tell which ones are any good or not.

only ones that haven't been mentioned yet

Baten Kaitos Origins
Harvest Moon Magical Melody
Super Monkey Ball 2
Tales of Symphonia

Here are some must haves:

Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
NBA Street V3 feat. the Nintendo All-Stars
Fight Night Round 2 w/Super Punch Out as a bonus game.
SSX on Tour feat. the Nintendo All-Stars
Resident Evil: Remake
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 4
Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2
Killer 7
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime Echoes
Tales of Symphonia
Paper Mario 2
Donkey Konga
Donkey Konga 2
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Baten Kaitos
Pikmin 1 and 2
Chibi-Robo
Custom Robo
Soul Calibur II-Link is a Beast!
Super Mario Sunshine

Mario Kart Double Dash

And the Grand Daddy of the all!...Super Smash Brothers Melee!

Resident Evil 0, 1 - 4

Can we do a master GCN "must have" list and sticky it? There seems to be one of these threades every 1-2 weeks and the same titles are always named...
The Sonic and Mega Man collections
Only drawback with Mega Man Collections is the controll button setting.
I prefer xbox version intead.

I put together The Ultimate GameCube Game Thread on the Penny Arcade forums a while ago in anticipation of the Wii.

It's still around and makes an excellent reference to answer this sort of question.

I happen to own these:

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Killer 7
Resident Evil: Remake
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 4

I'd put more effort into owning RE2 and 3 if I hadn't read the transfers were inferior to the original PS versions.

I've seen Wind Waker on the cheap and realize it's supposed to be the best Zelda in the franchise, but I can't really get into a game unless it's either transcendantly imaginative (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus), grim and nihilistic (SH2, Fatal Frame, Clock Tower: TFF, SMT Nocturne) or literary (Fahrenheit, Half-Life, Rule of Rose FTWSOETOHSSMOR* (despite the clumsy gameplay, I love that title (don't hurt me)). I probably wouldn't own a DS if it weren't for RE: DS, Dementium, Castlevania: DS, Trauma Center and possibly Hotel Dusk.

Thanks to those who mentioned Ikagura; it looks unusual. I'll do my best to find a copy, which will bring my GC collection up to six.

The only answer that matters is Baten Kaitos Origins. I suppose you kind of have to play the first one to really get the full impact though, so play Baten Kaitos first(even though it's not nearly as good as Origins).

Other GC favorites of mine are Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Pikmin 2(the first one is great as well, but I prefer the second).

007: Everything or Nothing
Def Jam: Fight for New York (Don't laugh. Good fighting action. Simple, yet brutal. Quite fun.)
Paper Mario: TTYD
Viewtiful Joe
Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

NBA Street v3 and SSX on Tour are both sought-after on GC because they both have playable Mario, Luigi and Peach characters which are not available on the other systems. (I have them both available sealed if interested, just PM me.) Another is Fight Night Round 2 because it has Super Punch Out as an exclusive bonus.
