If you own a website, here's some crap to to get a little CAG in your area.

Add the front page deals to your website using RSS/XML:

Add a CAG button or banner to your website:

Hey Cheapy,

I sent a guy from IGN over here.
He is starting his own store, and he offered to hook IGN members up. I told him to see if you'd allow him to advertise here, affiliate or not, I wasn't certain.

Anyways,.. he's Canadian, so he may have some more obscure prices, and what not.

:)

Bummer. :(

Got the rss feed up though!
How do I add the RSS feed to my site?
I am still curious about how to do this

I have a question about the Cheap Ass Gamer RSS feed.

Quite a while ago, I added this feed to my MSN home page via their "Add Content" resource. On MSN, this works by typing keywords in their Search Box, and using the results that are returned to add a Module to my Home Page (in other words, I am not given the option to directly "Add Code" to my page, and MSN pulls this information from some sort of a syndicated feed database).

Well, as I write this post, the results returned in my Cheap Ass Gamer feed are 48 days old, showing the "most recent" article as, "Buy 2, Get 1 Free at Amazon". Even when I "Refresh" the module, the content doesn't get any more recent. Thinking that this might be an issue with my personal page, I used the "Add Content" button to see what a current preview of CAG would look like, and it looks the same (in other words, it is the same age as the module currently on my page).

Is there any chance that this is an issue with the actual feed as supplied by the site? Any assistance you can provide would be most appreciated.
Thanks, I'll look into the RSS feed issue.
You know, I hate to be a pest, but... I notice that the RSS feed for CAG on my MSN home page is now listed as 69 days old. It's a shame, because if I don't check CAG every day... Well, let's just say that I missed out on the TRU $10 game announcement, which would have been nice to know about before I visited tonight.

I really hope that this problem with a non-updating feed can be fixed. Thanks again for any help you folks can provide.
They have a bum RSS feed. I tried submitting a new one, but who knows if that will work. Beyond that, I don't think there is much I can do, since I can't tell what feed they are using.
Thanks for the update, CheapyD. After reading your post, I did a new RSS Feed search and I found a new feed. That one now says it was published 13 days ago, and the "$3 off at GameFly"story is the top one on the feed (in other words, the current top story on CAG, the TRU Closing story, is not yet appearing). When I attempt to refresh the module, the content isn't yet changing.

I've loaded this new feed to my page, and I'll keep an eye on it to let you know how things work. Thanks so much for attempting a fix!

Hello again. This is just a quick note to let you know that the RSS feed I wrote about a while ago is again not working on my MSN page. The current version that is posted is showing as 30 days old, which makes it more difficult to keep up with the news and events on the CAG website.

Just wanted to let you know....

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but how do you get the game/price on the CAG-O-Matic? Is this some custom app that parses web pages of retailers for changes? Does it have access to the online retailers database? Is there an SDK for these sites? Specifically I am wondering about EB Games and/or Gamestop. I know Amazon has an SDK as do some others, but can't figure out anything about these two.

RSS Feed is fixed again. Thanks, CheapyD! :applause:

Get rid of the "Giving new meaning to" on the first banner. It looks all nasty awkward and convuluted right now, and would read better as "talk is cheap".
