I have a digital scale... I put 2 ounces usually, although I don't put in an actual box too.
Ahhh...
I don't think you know how to use a digital scale.

hes a bum and probably puts it caseless into an envelope or something

the USPS DOES check weight, save yourself the hassle and just go a little over.
What happens if you under weight it by an ounce? Does USPS really care? I usually put 6 ounces.
Depending on how much postage is missing. If its a lot, they'll return the package the sender. If its a couple sense, they'll stamp it "insufficient postage" but still mail it to person.

I just printed a postage and put 8oz to be safe. It cost $2.50 with delivery confirmation for first class mail from CA to IL.

do yourself a favor and get a scale...last thing you want is stuff coming back to you because of improper postage...also if you plan on selling more and more on ebay you will save money in the end rather then overpaying for something a few ounces over constantly...usually it costs me $2 to ship a game in a bubble envelope using first class and confirmation

i got my scale years ago for $30 at staples and it hasnt failed me once...i just wish i got one that went up to 10 LBs rather then 5 lbs

The xbox 360 games I mail with a bubble envelope usually weighs 6 oz. I've only sent one game that was 7 oz. because it had a thick manual, an xbox live trial card and an advertisement. Hope that helps.

I use the exact same Ultra-Ship but I use the 75 pound model (not that I generally ship anything over 20 pounds, but it's nice to have just in case). Great suggestions though to everyone. I highly recommend digital scales and / or label printers =)
