Drone Tactics' release was reported by Atlus News, DSFanboy, Gamespot and everyone else on December 20, but I've been waiting for a US release ever since the original version was first announced in Japan. US articles referred to it as Insect Wars and Konchuu Wars. The Japanese version has been available on playasia for many months.

I seem to recall Japanese preorders offering a frustratingly cool bonus as well -- a papercraft model of a cannon-affixed critter. Here's the DSFanboy article:
