Otherwise, tempting on Assassin's Creed and The Orange Box (even though I already have it for PC, I have a few friends that want to play with me on the 360). What are the trade-in values for those games at Gamestop?

I was thinking of picking up AC till I realize it's the X360 only.

Orange Box is a great game even with some lag issues in TF2.

There is still 4 quality games there that are worth over the $40 you'll pay.
 
Damn. Wish those 360 games on sale also applied their PS3 versions. Would have jumped at The Orange Box at that price.

TF2 IS FUN, but there is lag and still only 6 maps??

The graphics for the whole game succk like it was made for the old XBOX or a cheap PC.

$40 is about what I paid & sold it for on Ebay. It shold cost alot less.

Portal was awesome but very short (8hrs)

the game has 100 achievements that add up to 1000 points. Good luck finishing that

Orange Box for PS3 is $50 this week, so you could use the $10 off coupon to bring it down the the price of the Xbox 360 version.

I have a blast whenever I play TF2, and I think the graphics were meant to look like they do - clean and simple. I think it looks great, and the graphics matches the game's overall style.
 
prateeko and craven_fiend, I was actually gonna get CoD4 for PS3 last week when it was $38 at BB, but it was such I busy week (we had 4 party the last ten days, three was on our house so I was asleep most of the day the store was open because of all the traveling, cleaning, preferring and cooking, etc) so I didn't have time to go out and fight the crowd.

I was thinking of just price matching Target or GS at BB on X-mas day, but we had company that stayed over and stores closed early.

What ever go on sale first (CoD4 or AC) is what I would most likely get. Even though CoD4 is on top of the list. So here's hoping.

yeah I feel the same about TF2 graphics - love the look. And to me - gameplay is great - I enjoy it just as much at COD4. Overall orange box is an awesome deal - lots of stuff to do on that disc.

TF2's graphics are supposed to be that way, and I like it.

Also, Portal is only about 2 hours for the main game...but probably the best 2 hours you'll spend all year.

I have the PC version, so I can't comment on the 360 lag. Even so, if you haven't played HL2 yet, then this game is worth $40 even with lag problems in TF2.
 
Crap, I already bought the games on this list I want. A $40 Orange Box is a ridiculously good deal.
 
Sadly, at the moment of posting this, the only title not "Backordered" besides this year's entry in the extremely tired NFS series is The Orange Box. Damn, you done havin' shitty taste or what, mainstream gamers?

P.S. And just why did EA not promote the shit out of this game? Did they just know that no matter what 'mook metal' they threw over cinematic footage of Strider battles and hallway shootouts with the Combine, these games just inherently alienate small children and meatheads??

Graphics =/= gameplay, get over it.

Cost a lot less? It's fucking HL2, EP1, EP2, Portal and TF2. They could've reamed us by releasing them individually.

The thing is, for the sake of CAG's organization, they/we all have an obligation to consolidate the redundant threads as much as possible, but so many idiots (most, it would seem) seemingly take it so personally, and almost seem to 'get off' on pouncing on the unsuspecting topic creator, acting like the Post Police.

No, there's no way to spin it, kids. A lot of you are just flat-out dicks, and the way you handle a (seemingly) redundant topic shows this every time. If there's no Console War trolls to slay, go to the next highest rung on the Offender Hierarchy, right? Dicks.

Yes, in the current environment we need to check for redundancy before we post. On the other hand, it's kind of ridiculous in 2008 that this check is a manual process. I can't imagine it would be that hard to put in an automatic search based on keywords and context that would display similar threads to the user before the post is finalized, and prompt the user for confirmation that they still feel their post is unique. Corporate support forums are already going in this direction, using off-the-shelf forums packages. Hopefully Cheapie can look into this as part of his all-singing/all-dancing redesign.

You must really suck at it if it took you 8 hours. It took me less than 4 hours (including the advanced challenges). Regardless of it's length it's still the 2nd best game of 2007 (after HL2: Episode 2).
 
I don't like to play online multiplayer games. Would I still enjoy The Orange Box for $40 just for the single player parts?

good deals if I hadn't already had AC. I used one of my TRU games to get orange box and I wish i hadn't. Halflife was fun but everything else was just trash IMO.
