Limited Edition Mountain Dew Xbox (from the dead) relating to the current topic

Ok this is such a joke i can't beleive it.

First of all like most of us probably, I would love to have this very cool colored system. But listen to what i just figured out. Mountain Dew is having a Dew U promotion right now with a point based sysyem located under the caps which you redeem online and build points to purchase limited Xbox stuff, one of which is the lime green xbox. Sounds cool and i like mountain Dew(ESPECIALLY CODE RED) mmm so tasty Here is the problem.
Points are as follows
20 oz, 1 and 2 liters=1 point
12 pack= 3 points
24 pack = 6 points
plus may be random packed 2point bonuses(probably 3 worldwide)

the xbox is 550 points plus 8.75 shipping

so here is the math:
lets say we buy cases of 24 since its the obvious cheapest way to get 6 points and the most soda for us.
We would need to buy 91.6 cases(forgetting about bonus points) to have enough points for the x box
cases can be found for $7 a piece

meaning we would have to spend $641.20 for the dam thing
makes me sick and the all that green liquid would make my teeth fall out
i want it but dam

it can be won on ebay for a couple hundred now 220-250 average
i was hoping to get it cheaper with these points
anyone know more about this deal or anything

Haggle your friends and family that don't care about the xbox for their points. Look in garbage cans for caps, I'm sure many, many, many of these are going to just be tossed. Start a webpage asking people to send their caps to you. That last one may not work, and may get you lots of crap in the mail.

actually, it wouldn't get you as much soda, but you'd get more points per dollar if you bought 550 2-liters with 1 point each. you can usually get these on sale for 0.99. still, that's $550 so your best bet is to hassle everyone you know!!

My friends got their Limited Edition Mt. Dew Xbox by just scrounging the recycling bins at school. They probably maybe bought like 15 bottles themselves, the rest people donated, or they just found caps in trashes/recycling bins at school.

i spent about 40$ total on MD, cause i drink it anyways.....but i got all the rest online and from friends and such......just about a week ago, i ordered one of those when it became availible.......but the green ones are sold out, only regular ones left.........they are selling on ebay used for about 250$ to 300$ so thats TIIGHT! The promotion started a long time ago so good luck trying to collect enough.
