Don't go third party. Stick with Nintendo. On the back of the game it tells how many blocks it uses.

I just had an idea....why dont we make this a thread devoted to memory card requirements? We could compile a list! And make it a sticky!

Go 3rd party and you may regret it later. Imagine putting hours into all the games only to get them corrupted. You have been warned.

I'd also try to avoid 3rd party cards if at all possible. They just don't seem to be as reliable, but if you're willing to gamle with your data don't say we didn't warn you.

These were the only ones on the memory card at the house. Most of my GCN games are at the other house so I'll see if I can get a hold of those on there. Sorry, but most of these are my older games. Hope these help.

*I distinctly remember MP needing more than one for some reason even though it only shows one on the memory card screen. It needs an extra block for some reason or you can't save.

I'll try to get the other (mostly newer) games if I can sometime soon.

I haven't had any problems with my third party cards. I've used a 16x Interact card for the longest time for my US games, and a regular 1x Interact card for my JPN games. I also have two 4x Mad Catz cards to back up my games (paranoid I'll accidentally erase a memory card because I forgot to switch the different region cards). The Interact cards have worked well for me though, so that's my experience.

Those are what I saw that weren't on the list.

I've used only 3rd party memory cards for my GC and they get the job done. I use the small MadCatz ones that you can pick up at Wal-Mart for $4 (Yes, that's right!) ... They have gone corrupted on me, but I just started pulling them out, resetting the system, and copying the files back n' forth (aka panic) and after a few minutes, I had everything back to normal. This has actually happened a couple of times, and I didn't lose a thing either times.

I'd recommend them if your Wal-Mart has 'em, as that seems to be the cheapest place.

Nice idea spyhunterk19. Could help someone out if they need to decide on meomory blocks. I'll post some later.

I suspect some of the sizes might be for the main save only and not mentioning things like pictures you take in game.

Some games don't show how many blocks are needed.

I was curious as to what the running tally would be, and as of now its 1249. So all those games could ALMOST fit on the 1019. (Take off the sims, and bustin out, and you're down to 1028. Very close)

The back of the box is wrong. Beyond Good and Evil says something like 18 and its really 55.
