I love the arcade game and I am really thinking about picking this up.

Also I am wondering if anyone knows if the Japanese version has online play, because the Asia version says it doesn't.
 
I'll be picking it up once I get some spare cash. I *love* Ver 4.

Dunno what version yet, I'll wait to see if the online works outside of Japan.
 
I'll wait till August, but I will be importing it. If it ever gets confirmed that online gameplay won't work outside of Japan, then I'll be getting the Asian version for the English manual. Otherwise, I'll get the Japanese version and use guides I can find online.

Correct, they have been releasing the games on the PS2 in Japan for a couple years.
