He is a Jew, so doesn't he automatically make it into heaven due to him being one of the chosen people?

So in fact, I don't think it's possible for hi to see the governor in hell.

What does the Jewish faith say about this? Do they need to be active in the religion to be considered one of the chosen or does their bloodline automatically give them clearance for the afterlife?
