CAGcast #127: E3 - We Did Something

downloading.....done. wow is the download faster for everyone since cag 2.0? I swear the last couple cagcast have been downloading 2x to 3x faster for me. What you guys have planned for Thursday & Friday?
 
Hope you guys don't waste too much time with Wii Music tomorrow. I'm far more interested in hearing your impressions on the new Wii MotionPlus peripheral and Wii Sports Resort if they have it, especially if it culminates in a Cheapy vs. shipwreck swordfighting match. :D

Agreed about Sonic Unleashed. The Werehog thing sounds like Sega is making the same mistake they made with the new Nights game, which had the classic flying levels where you play as Nights, and then there were the boring on-foot platformer/maze levels where you only play as the kids.

12 bucks a day for internet is not uncommon nowadays. In Niagara falls Ontario Canada they wanted the same shit. Considering the cheap Motel down the street gives it to you for free.

Did anyone notice Shipreck sounded a bit older? I also thought he sounded EXACTLY like Peter Rojas from Engadget.
 
I only listened to part of it but :rofl: at the weed story. Was the dude Jamaican? Thats how I imagined ths story in my head. Like that scene in Crank where he gets in the cab and the dude gives him some acid or something.
 
i thought we was going to hear about how CheapyD and Shipwreck Took the Booth Babes Back to their Hotels and you know what with them

Did you and Shipwreck really not know that FF XIII is coming out on the 360? I cant beleive it wasnt mentioned during your Microsoft talk.

Agreed on Shipwreck--he made the money on this podcast while cheapy (maybe literally) phoned it in. Great job, ship! Nothing against cheapy, of course, but I've never heard him so disinterested and tired in a podcast before. Oh well at least y'all were there and did...something. Thanks guys!

Shipwreck reported E3 very well, the show did seem a lot different without Wombat, it seemed more monotonous. Its mostly because Shipwreck is more serious and doesn't compliment Cheapy as well, but great job.


A question for Cheapy, since you bought the iphone in the US what are you doing with the service contract you had to sign?
 
Shipwreck pulled that one through. Cheapy sounded hung over and depressed and not really into it. Wombat was definitely missed!

Yeah shipwreck was excellent. Cheapy should have just sent me to E3 if he was just gonna fall asleep during press conferences, get high, and lose his video camera.

M$ is ruling the E3 show so far...

Nintendo screwed its its fan base... need to buy adapter for newer wii games cause it is not motion detection enough... hmm

PS3 lost FF13 exclusive... error
 
So that explains why the cost of oil is so high...Nintendo keeps making all these damn plastic peripherals!

Guess that also explains their low rating in that environmental report.

And yeah, it seems Nintendo has abandoned their hardcore fanbase, the people that made them who they are today.

Next you know, Mario's going to be the next "unclog your toilet" minigame utilizing both the Wii Balance Board and a plastic plumber outfit peripheral.

Cheapy said he bought it on Saturday in Japan before he flew to the US, so he was probably able to just add it on to his current contract he has.

Really informative and interesting show, though it felt like you guys were pretty low on energy. I guess that's to be expected, given how crazy busy your week was. Thanks for taking the time to record a 'cast! :)

Most motels have free internet. Actual hotels make you pay because they have other stuff to make you stay.

But yeah, as for the actual CAGcast, i didn't hear the whole thing yet though. I did hear "pork on pork action" and I actually laughed out loud. But overall, it does seem to be missing something high pitched and annoying. And it was lacking energy! Cheapy, wake the fuck up! If it wasn't for Ship, this might have been the most lackluster CAGcast in modern history.

Great job getting the podcast out. I can't get any work done on my dissertation without a cag podcast to listen to while I work.

As an aside, I liked the story of the disappointment and sense of abandonment of the Nintendo fan after the presentation. It pretty much mirrored the sentiment in the Nintendo forums on CAG.
