You pretty much got your answer in the last thread you made about it http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191685 , probably could have gotten some bids at 250-300 but right now it is priced too high. Feedback also isn't helping and i've noticed a lot that custom computers don't sell so hot.
Gah, I didn't realize I made multiple threads. Sorry for that. I think I'll lower it to 450, maybe someone will bite then. I've been told the monitor is worth 175 alone, and that's why I put it so high.

The feedback thing pisses me off though. All my other was positive and then I got a neutral because it took me a couple days extra to get it out because of stuff beyone my control.

Do you think I can get more somewhere else?

im with you the feedback thing pisses me off two its really hard to sell a gaming computer for the price you want on cag or really anywhere even if its worth the price. i should have got a trader rating from the guy in my sig vut he just joined to buy my computer and i was still too new when i sold it to get itrader feedback anyways but he did leave me a nice written feedback i dont know why people are concerned in you case you have great trader rating on cag

it seems it doesnt matter how great a custom built computer is people still say the price is to high and if you look on ebay great top notch computers that should be selling for higher are selling low people dont relize that yeah you can get the samn computer for a lower price BUT you do not get the custom MB that will allow you to OC in most cases and the prices are low sorta because of the graphics card inside if you look at any normal retail "gaming computer" by dell or hp there expensive and you look at the graphics card the only thing that at its core really matters, youll notice that it sucks. And thats the reason he is not going get what he wants for that machine. atleast not here.

the computer i was selling costed me $900 to build add labor costs and such thats atleast another $100, but thats only $100 profit your making i have learned that cag is not the place to sell high end gaming machines.

I think that there are two things with this:

1. Most 'average' people have no idea what most of that means and they don't want to have to deal with it
2. Most people who do would rather buy their own components off of say NewEgg and put it together themselves.

It is just a though, but you may get the most money by selling everything separate, from the case to the motherboard to the processor and drives. This is just my thought on it.

You're probably right on that. I'm going to drop it to 400 in a couple of hours :( I kinda need to sell it by wednesday or I would tdo the multiple parts thing; i'm buying a macbook and it would be really convenient to do it on the no tax holiday.

Nope not really, piecing it out really is your best bet, i'm not sure if you can do 1 day auctions yet with your feedback being so low but if possible do those. Let the current auction end, you might get lucky with a bid .

Number 2 is a good point, buy a custom computer off ebay or just do it yourself through newegg, a lot would prefer to do it themselves since that is part of the fun.

I can't do 1 day bids :( . Should have been able to, stupid neutral fb.

I'll try to piece it out I guess.

Just thought I'd give you some suggestions for next time, since I just sold some old PC's on Ebay recently. First, like others mentioned, custom desktops don't sell very well on Ebay unless it's very high end. And unfortunately, yours isn't. As a gaming PC these days, I'd call yours low end, especially with a 7900GS. Dual cores are cheap, 8800GT/ATI 4850 are ridiculously cheap, you can build one around that for around $350 and those video cards are 1 to 2 generations better than your 7900GS.

You offered Ubuntu instead of Windows. People who would consider buying a PC like this won't know how to use Ubuntu. And even if they figured out how to nuke it with the disc you're including, they won't know how to install and setup Windows. People who know how to use Ubuntu will probably build their own box.

People who don't know how to build would rather buy a named OEM builder like Dell and HP. Why? No idea, maybe they feel there's at least customer support when buying from those companies. Maybe because everything's set up from the get go. But when you buy a custom desktop off Ebay, who's going to help them with technical problems? No one. So that's why I believe mid to low end customs don't sell on Ebay.

Also, your feedback rating and those very dark pictures certainly don't help. I'm sure there's a good reason behind the neutral feedback, but unfortunately, people aren't going to shell out $449.99 to someone who's feedback on the page is 0%. And they're not going to take the time to click on your feedback and see that you only got 1 neutral, not a negative. Sadly, Ebay managed to destroy sellers' feedback with their new system in one day.

I had a custom PC for auction hoping for at least $150, just to recoup the costs of the parts. It ended at $85. And I had started it at $0.99 hoping that people would jack it up over a 5 day time span. I sold another old Dell XPS I had with roughly the same specs and that sold for over $300. Go figure.
