I was at Hastings, the other day, and I was looking at a poster they had up, that said the prices for all their systems, when I noticed that the new price for a GC was listed as $39.99 ($29.99 for used or refurb).
It wasn't a sale thing, and it looked like it was the kind of poster that gets printed up by corporate and passed out to all the stores, so I think there's a good chance this sale is national. I don't know how many GCs they usually have in stock, though, so YMMV.
