I did a search here on CAG but didn't find anything...

I just recently got a DS, and one of the games I have been looking for is Clubhouse Games, which is OOP and somewhat sought after. I was looking around on the web to see if any online retailer might still have any in stock, and noticed this on both Buy.com and Amazon.com:

http://www.buy.com/prod/clubhouse-games/q/loc/108/202718344.html

http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-4549..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1217787370&sr=8-1

Both sites show a 9/8/08 release date, and show the box art for the original game. I looked around and can't find any mention anywhere of a sequel or anything, so this may mean that Nintendo has decided to do a second run of this game. I went ahead and pre-ordered it from Buy.com since $20 is a great deal. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Chris

My initial thought was to sell mine now and rebuy it, but I only paid $10 more than this new retail price for a virtually sealed copy anyway.

Sweet! I missed out on this the first time out. Hopefully Amazon will come down and match Buy.com's price.

They should have done this a long time ago seeing as how well casual games have been doing on Nintendo's systems.
About time. Maybe Tetris DS will be next.
From what I understand, it's not going to happen anytime soon, if at all. The reason it went out of print is because Hudson acquired the rights to the game not too long after Nintendo published the DS version.

I never understood why Nintendo doesn't have a Player's Choice line for DS games. So many Nintendo published games are difficult to find and sell for a lot on the secondary market.

I only own Nintendo published games and have had no trouble getting everything worth playing. I have like 20 DS games now. The most I paid for any was Clubhouse games, which was $30 on Ebay. Everything else other than Partners in Time ($30) I got for under $20. I even have it tougher since I specifically only get the Canadian editions (french and english on the case and instructions).

I'm not sure which ones "sell for a lot". There was a thread recently talking about rare/expensive DS games and from my Ebay searches, Clubhouse Games topped the list and it is only $30-40, which is less than the retail price of Square-Enix games. ;)

Specifically, Tetris, Warioware, and Clubhouse Games "sell for a lot" which basically means you have to pay more than retail for a new copy.

As long as people don't expect a PC line, they'll keep buying up DS games day one... that's probably Nintendo's line of thought. Or at least, I can't think of any other reason.

Electroplankton is more than that, and I believe that Yahtzee/Boggle/Monopoly/Battleship game is also up there above Clubhouse Games.

^^I guess so, it is just fusturating to have to wait for a game to go on clearance and then be able to find it to get it for a CAG friendly price.

^^^Besides those I also think Kirby's Canvas Curse, Hotel Dusk, Yoshi Touch and Go all sell for over retail new on EBay

I actually just nabbed Yoshi Touch & Go and Kirby Canvas Curse (both complete and like-new) for less than $20 shipped each from Ebay. I played a bunch of the Touch & Go multiplayer races with a friend, but haven't had a chance to really play either since I am working through Phantom Hourglass and have a few stars left to get in Super Mario Bros.

And yes, I forgot about Electroplankton. That's one I am not even considering trying to get due to price.

I am curious if this will extend to Canada. Amazon.ca shows nothing. I guess we will see if Best Buy suddenly has new batches of these games.

Even though I generally stay away from Buy.com, I am going to pre-order Clubhouse Games from them. That price is too good to pass up.

Glad I sold the 2 sealed copies I had.

Alot of the Nintendo games on ds are becoming sought after Super Princess Peach is becoming more difficult to find rare... Ive sold quite a few Mario and Luigi's, Advance Wars DS goes for a good bit too
interesting. Has Amazon been wrong about this type of stuff before?
I recall them shortly having Lumines up for preorder during the middle of that craze.. but it was taken down shortly after

I noticed Clubhouse Games and Hotel Dusk in EB yesterday. They both had some big fugly orange print along the top half of the cover saying ONE BILLION GAMES and MYSTERY STORY GAME (paraphrasing here). It reminded me of "greatest hits" and I am glad I didn't wait to grab the original games while they were easy to find. Yes, I am anal like that.

i haven't seen too many people online in this game. i was hoping to play a little hearts on the ds. but no dice i guess.

i was also a little disappointed that i didn't have more control over betting on poker.

I got this last week, after looking for a used copy for ages. So stoked - now if I could just get the cart out of my wife's DS, I might get to play it for a while :)

Well looks like this is the unofficial greatest hits line, which is fine for me because I can Clubhouse Games to the to purchase list for Christmas list for various family members who arent huge gamers, but for some reason have a DS.
ARG! still haven't been able to find this at target. they just have the empty slot for this and hotel dusk.
I've seen it on an edcap with other $19.99 games at Target - it's not in the glass-enclosed locked case (at least at my two local Targets).

They had this and the other two games (Hotel Dusk and... can't remember the other) at the local gamestop when I was there yesterday. Price was $19.99. These were sitting in a display on the counter, they weren't in with the other DS games.

i might be crazy, but i haven't enjoyed this game. i was looking forward to the online multi player. but i haven't seen anybody online. is there more activity on certain games? or are you guys just playing vs friends?
